Ken did a phenomenal job and was a nice man to talk to. Got the job done in 2 hrs even though our water heater was upstairs. Curtis was also able to give us the estimate right away and they came out next day. Whole process was smooth and fast.

Gave a no drama estimate and even stopped by to check to make sure larger water heater I requested was going to fit before starting the work. During the site visit, Water Heater Services Rep found an issue that would need to be brought up to code - this resulted in a minor increase in price from original estimate. The other contractor that we had bid on the contract was more than twice the price with a lot of extras added on to the contract. It is a water heater for goodness sakes.

My hot water heater failed the prior evening. First thing this morning, I started requesting quotes, including through Angi. Curtis responded very quickly, provided a quote based on my detailed specs, and I emailed him photos to confirm. The quote was the most competitive of all the quotes I received in the course of a few hours. Many vendors wanted to send someone to my house to look or have a call, but Curtis was one of the few who sent me a near-perfect quote via email. I did provide the current model details, measurements, and information I thought would be useful. The best part was that Ken was dispatched to my house a few hours later. Ken did a great job. Under three hours for new 50 Gal, 40K BTU, Hot Water Heater (gas) replacement, new drip pan, new expansion tank (didn't ether previously), replaced cut-off valve on cold water, new piping, and new valve for HVAC humidifier which was connected to pipe replaced. I would highly recommend this company.

Professional from start to finish!

I received 4 bids for a water heater replacement from Angi contractors. They were all over the place with one being twice as much as the bid from Water Heater Services. Another was slightly lower, but the Virginia business license was inactive when I did my due diligence. I was able to arrange a day the next week when I could get the water shut off and a freight elevator was available. Ken, the technician, was running a little late due to traffic, so he called to give me a heads up, but he arrived only 20 minutes past my appointment time. It turned out that he had to drill another drain hole to get the old tank emptied due to a sediment clog. He did a great job installing the new water heater and making sure everything was done according to code and the water was heating up. Hauled away the old water heater and cleaned up the area from the mess caused when he drilled the extra hole in the old water heater. He didn't charge me extra for the unexpected difficulty and time. I would recommend Water Heater Services to anyone needing to replace a water heater, as the price is reasonable and the job is done right and cheerfully.

I requested three bids to replace my water heater. While they were not the cheapest (the cheapest was only $12 cheaper), I selected them because they could come out immediately to install a new water heater. The team they sent out was on time, knowledgeable and very personable. While I hope to never have to replace the water heater again, I would clearly choose them again and recommend them without any reservations. They did a really good job, great company.

When we started with Curtis, things seemed clear cut. I explained that our water heater was leaking from three places. They were prompt and all ready at our house to do the job. They did not wear booties, put down drop cloths or wear masks. Once I showed Curtis where the water heater was and where it was leaking from things started to go down hill. The third leak location was a PVC pipe in the laundry room. Curtis shook the pipe and exclaimed nothing loose here. This was upsetting as water can get through the smallest of cracks or fissures. What might appear solid may in fact be a leak. We were not having a meeting of the minds and I excused myself to call my husband. My husband called Curtis and explained that in fact water was coming from the pipe. After speaking to my husband, he agreed to repair/replace it. The basement stairs are narrow. Kenny insisted on using a big dolly to get the water heater to the basement in lieu of the two of them carrying it down in a box. Unfortunately their choice of transport caused damage to our wall and molding in 4 places when they needed to make the turn on the landing. Kenny was supposed to repair the wall last Thursday and was unable to make it. Kenny was due today at 10:00...he no showed and no-called. My husband called Curtis who then suggested they could come this Saturday. I had another thought, how about no! We suggested a credit and we will fix or have the area fixed. They did a GREAT job, as far as we can tell, on the water heater. They did not do a good job taking preventative measures to leave our house as it was. I was waiting to write the review after the wall repair. We will see if the credit to our credit card comes through or if we will need to dispute the charge? Consider all of this when making your choice. If I had known this would be an ongoing thing I would have chosen differently.

Comparable to everyone else; 1450 for a 50 gallon electric water heater. Very knowledgeable, on time, and nice. No hidden fees, open to all questions ( I had many) made me feel comfortable to asked all questions especially given that I was a woman! No mess left behind and put everything back in the laundry room that he moved. Also provided a discount.
