We simply cannot offer enough praise and appreciation for VA Restorations Experts. Of the many companies we've hired, they are hands-down the best. We reached out to VA Restorations as we prepared to purchase a home with substantial amounts of mold throughout the basement, the crawlspace, and several areas of the main floor. Tim, the owner, patiently helped us to more thoroughly understand the scope of the problem and how to best clean it up. His genuinely honesty, sincerity, and exceptional knowledge placed our minds at ease. As part of this process, we even hired a mold hygienist to conduct a baseline test of the air quality and the types of mold in the house. The hygienist's assessment of the damage and his recommendation exactly matched the insights and advice we received from Tim. After talking with several mold remediation companies, it was immediately clear that remediation by VA Restorations would best provide us with the peace of mind that our family would not suffer any effects of mold. During the process, Tim regularly called with status updates and provided numerous pictures of the progress. We quickly learned to trust him completely. After VA Restorations remediated the mold, a follow-on test by the hygienist found zero mold in the entire house! In fact, the hygienist said it was the best mold remediation he'd ever seen. But the story doesn't end here. This house also had animals living in the attic for several years, resulting in large amounts of animal feces from raccoon, opossum, squirrel, and mice. Quite a mess and, like the mold, a substantial health hazard from bacteria within the feces. With the attic insulation removed, we again turned to VA Restorations to thoroughly disinfect the entire attic -- and again, they did a fantastic job. Tim and his crew expertly removed damaged walls, treated the areas covered in mold growth, and applied a sealant to inhibit further mold growth. They always did what they said they would do, walking us through the process each step if the way.

We called Virginia Restoration Experts LLC to come out and inspect our crawlspace for mold. We were grateful that Tim was able to accommodate our need for evening hours (4pm). He called the day of inspection (12pm) to ask if he could push the time by one hour or reschedule. We were glad he called instead of just showing up late. It turned out the later time worked well for us. Unfortunately, Tim confirmed that we indeed had a mold issue. Tim promptly provided us with a quote the very next day that included pictures. The quote he provided included removal and replacement of all insulation and vapor barrier, HEPA vacuuming of mold and spores, application of EPA registered biocides through ULV fogging, mold remediation clean up and wipe down with fungicides, and application of EPA registered sealant/encapsulation. Tim also included a discount because we were members of Angie's List! He was responsive to all of our questions regarding the work. He was definitely knowledgeable about mold and how to get rid of it. We did not end up using Virginia Restoration Experts LLC, but would recommend them and would not hesitate to call them if ever in need again.

Tim came out to do an estimate for mold remediation and upon determining the problem was minimal, performed the clean-up service on the spot and offered to come back in 6 months to recheck and service at no extra charge. Excellent work, timely, and very professional.

Our hot water heater had sprung a slow leak without us knowing and water had seeped under the walls into 2 adjoining rooms and in to our crawl space. We had a significant amount of mold everywhere. Mr. Holden did a complete mold remediation. He cut drywall from the floor 2 feet up on all affected walls, removed all affected baseboard & trim in the house and removed all the mold in the crawl space. He put dehumidifiers and air machines in the house & crawl space and fogged the house due to the amount of mold. He was very knowledgeable and professional, very personable, came out every time he said he would. He was in a cast due to a broken ankle, and still went crawling around in the crawl space!! He went above and beyond. We were extremely happy with his work and the results. We would definitely recommend him!! It has been 2 years and we have not had any recurrence of the mold.
