Steve Spratt Improvements

I knew I had a snow melt leak and I needed deck resurfacing, a new door, and siding repair to prepare my house for sale. I contracted with Spratt for these repairs. The Spratt team did a great job. Moreover, two weeks before closing bad storm (my neighborhood had 18 trees downed or seriously damaged) damage the siding on the other side of my house. I went back to Spratt and even though they were responding to community wide damage, they managed to get my siding fixed so that the sale could go forward as scheduled. I highly recommend Steve Spratt Improvements.

I could not have asked for a better contractor.  Brian and Johnny performed most of the job making sure everything was just right.  I told Brian that he could cut a small corner and he refused because it would not be the kind of work he did.  Upon finishing for the day, I could not tell they had been here.  Every evening they cleaned up the job site to the extent it was in perfect order.  We have three pure bred kittens that we do not let outside, not that they want to, but both Brian and Johnny made sure they were taken care of.  Not part of their job, but nonetheless, important to them.  They showed up on the job when promised, and finished when promised.  We are very happy with Spratt Construction and their workers.  It was nice having them in our home.

Mr. Spratt came and thoroughly inspected the addition on a house we just bought and identified key issues with its construction. He and Ms. Spratt developed design concepts for remodeling. Mr. Spratt also provided expert consultation on DIY projects.

I contacted the company for an estimate, they provided me with the name of the contractor to arrive and a prompt and flexible schedule to do so.  The lead contractor (Darrell Bowie) arrived on time and presented himself in a very professional manner.







Darrell took the information, provided me with a business card and let me know to expect the estimate cost soon. A few days later I received the written estimate, it was very fair and competitive and much in line with the other estimates I had received.  I signed the paperwork and provided a 10% deposit a timeframe for the work was then agreed upon. I had the company schedule a time in conjunction with Apple Doors ( the supplier of the new garage door). The two companies worked together to nail a date down to coincide the opening of the wall and the door to fill it.







The lead carpenter (Brian) arrived on time, if not a bit early, to begin work. He too was very professional and took great care to address my concerns. The work was completed in a timely fashion and with great attention to detail. Brian went above and beyond with what was expected. The work area was cleaned up and made secure daily. If not for the giant plywood wall where a garage door would be, one would not even know work was being done.







After work completion, the company followed up and made sure everything was as expected if not better before final billing. I am extremely pleased with the work that was done, and they have further more earned my future business.

Employees were courteous and definitely knowledgeable about construction. Best if customer has detailed design in place already, and knows all the sourcing options. Work was done professionally and completed in a timely manner.

The guys did a really nice job replacing the deck and repairing a rotten door frame, door trim, and stair railing.  Nice to have one company that could do all of this work in-house, including the electrical work hanging a light for the deck stairs.

They are very good. Communicative, timely, and helpful. Their flooring sub contractor does great work but has trouble with his schedule, he is always late.
