Smitty was very responsive to my initial inquiry and contacted me shortly after I sent him an email.  I initially found Smitty using Craigslist and verified his business using Angie's List and other sources.  We arranged to meet on a Saturday and Smitty arrived on time for our initial consultation. During the initial meeting he answered my questions professionally  and courteously and offered his perspective and recommendations regarding molding types, installation options, pricing, etc.  I had a very positive first impression and decided to contract with him at the end of our meeting.  Smitty offered to begin work on Monday and complete all four rooms by Wednesday.
Smitty arrived promptly Monday morning as promised.  He worked very efficiently, taking careful measurements and making the cuts (including coping) for all crown molding pieces in the rooms.  He carefully installed each molding piece, accounting for the imperfections common to walls and ceilings.  After installing all the crown molding pieces he proceeded to caulk all nail holes and gaps (of which there were very few). After caulking he applied two coats of Behr glossy paint.  His caulk lines were straight and the painting was very professionally done.
Smitty cleaned up every day after completing his work.  He was prompt, courteous and professional throughout the  job.  He presents a neat appearance and his van and equipment are clean and well maintained.  All in all a pro.
Smitty was prompt in his communications and providing estimates and invoices.  I enjoyed working with him and have contracted with him for follow-on work.

Smitty was prompt to stop by and provide an estimate and schedule the work.  He arrived as scheduled and completed the work as scheduled.  His work is flawless.  During the estimate, he provided advice on what would be optimal for crown molding and also answered all my questions about chair rails, wainscoting and other carpentry work.  I can't say enough about his finished work.  His services (and his business model) is efficient and professional. 
I had 3 5/8" crown molding installed and he was very quick at installation and made it a point to use long boards of molding and not piecing together "extras" from other jobs.  He caulked the nail holes and molding.  He also painted two coats of quality paint that matched my baseboards.  The crown molding really finishes the rooms nicely.
As I redo my bathrooms and kitchen, I will actually work Smitty into my plans as I like his work and his professional character.  He understands customer service, pride in work, and a quality job.

This man is a true professional and very proud of his results. He emailed me an estimate after I talked to him and sent my job requirements. Sent me a text informing me of the starting time. He has done four (4) rooms for me and each one is of the highest quality of workmanship. His equipment was all set up outside so there is no saw dust inside your home! He works around your furniture centered in the room that he is working in. I had never seen anyone do coping like Smitty performed making each corner tight even when there was almost an inch difference between opposing walls. If anyone needs crown molding that is like going back to the Victorian era of carpentry, I highly recommend giving Smitty a call today.
