Shackleford was very responsive. Our water pressure tank had started leaking and fortunately for us it did not spill into our basement. The technician was prompt and pulled out the old and replaced it. Explained what happened and engaged us to get a more power one but we wanted to have the situation taken care right then. I feel that they were looking out for the customer and not their bottom line.

It was excellent. They are good, prompt, knowledgeable, and professional. They tell you up front what to expect from the products you're considering, the pros and cons. I can't say enough good things about them. They did a quality job.

Plumber was hired by contractor to repair/replace fire-damged plumbing. I had "Quest" piping in the house, and decided to To replace it while the repair work was being done. My contractor (Jenning's Restorations) hired Shackelford without consulting me, and had the work done. I was then told it would be 4,500$ to cover the cost of replacing the old pipes. The work had already been performed. It took less than one day to remove and replace the pipes with c-pvc piping. They did not replace the insulation on the pipes, and did not properly support the pipng under the house. They also failed the first inspection. The afternoon that the water was turnrd back on, a joint let go, ruining the brand new wood floor I had just installed. It took them severeal days to fix the problem. After moving in, I noticed water pouring from a smoke detector. This was because they did not install a factory-supplied gasket on the tub they installed. When it was time to turn the gas back on, the system was leaking due to an old valve. The "plumber" said it was not important, as the gas just leaked into the water heater, and went away. Not only is this a waste of gas, but a wonderful source for an explosion! Also, although I can't prove who did it, a lot of tools disapeared from the area they(and some others) worked in (propane torch, electric multi-meter, spotting scope, large knife, etc.) I really would NOT recommend them to change the gasket in a garden hose!

Extremely well. I've used Shackleford's before on several other jobs around the house and have never been disappointed. They service technicians are always prompt, polite and actually spend the time looking for the root cause of the problem, rather than just fixing the symptom. Granted they are expensive (as are most plumbers) but they've never had had to fix the same problem twice.
