Good guy on time did a great job

Scott's Home Enhancements and Repairs is a local provider, family owner, group that does a good job at a fair price. The owner took personal interest in making sure the job was done correctly and in time for our cabinet installation. Not only do I recommended Scott's to others; I WILL be contracting with them for future work!

I hired Scott’s Home Enhancements and Repairs because he was reasonable in cost and was professional. Shane Scott is very knowledgeable. After the drywall repair I ended up hiring him for a painting job, deck repair (my deck was sinking in) and deck floor replacement with Trex quality flooring rather than what the builder put in. Shane completed all work when he said he would and he was always on time. He has superb work ethics.

They were prompt on contacting me and scheduling the work when I was available.

I posted a previous rating for this company and I found out that what we discussed for my project was not per say done, but why it changed. Shane explained everything to me, however because of some unforeseen things, I thought it was the contractors fault be it was more of weather and my wanting to get the project done in a hurry. So I want to apologize to Shane and his company and the next time I hire him I will ensure that I understand fully the direction he was to complete the project.

Courteous and friendly.

Shane came to give us an estimate, which was fair for the work we were looking to have done. We went over each detail of what I was looking for. I should have known when I did not receive a response from the company when I had to email twice to ask when the work could be done. Unfortunately, I had to go out of town for work when he was available so my husband was left to oversee the work. The picture that was to be hung over the fireplace was fine. The mantle we bought was not put up as the manufacturer intended, and we cannot remove it from the wall to touch up our paint. It was supposed to be hung using wooden blocks that were to be hung with concrete screws. The entire mantle is now nailed in place through the top of the mantle and is not able to be removed and the nails are visible. Our outdoor deck skirt looks "okay", but again didn't follow what I had requested. I wanted a section of the skirt to push back under the deck, which would have hidden the screws. The complete opposite was done. The deck skirt was very expensive and what was done cannot be fixed. We also requested drywall to be hung in our garage. It was hung, but never sanded. I now have to hire someone to finish the job properly. Not happy with the overall job and would not recommend. The cost to fix what was done will be twice what we have already paid because we will have to purchase new items, hire someone else, and then repair what was done.

Shane was very friendly, polite and professional. He came to our house on the days he said he would be there and worked through lunch to get the jobs done. We had him repair a door frame, do some trim work, and add back splash to our kitchen. You could definitely see that he took pride in his work, and he went above and beyond to make sure we were completely satisfied with the jobs he completed. I would definitely use his services again!

Scotts Home Enhancement painted shutters, front door, and repaired the front door canopy due to rotting. I have to say, they did excellent work. I plan to hire them again for other home projects.
