Perfect. I knew I was had squealing brakes and I thought it was the rear brakes. They checked the car over and informed that it was coming from the front brakes and that the rear brakes just needed an adjustment. They said that the rear brakes were not making contact at all and it was causing the front brakes to do all the work and it was "throwing a lot of heat" up that way. That made perfect sense to me because I was having constant problems with the anti-lock braking system, and I wondered if there wasn't something contributing to it. Also, the fluids that they said needed flushing (coolant, power steering) jived perfectly with what I already knew had not been done to the car in the recent past. Great experience with these guys and I can't wait to take my car back to them.

After my encounter with Express Auto service (you can read my review on them), I came to Rose's to have a state inspection and see what they think on my ball joints. Although it took a while for them to look at my truck, they immediately came in and said only my right upper ball joint needed to be replaced (Express said both lowers) and offered to show me without prompting. The mechanic took me back and explained it to me, which I appreciate. He also said the left lower side is showing signs of wear but doesn't need to be replaced now. They were kind enough to provide quotes if I wanted both joints replaced versus the one I needed replaced. The price tag for both joints was significantly smaller than Express and Express would have replaced the incorrect one. Overall, they may be a little slow; but I'll take slow over price gouging and quality.

I had a local used car lot drop off a vehicle for a pre-purchase vehicle inspection. I spoke to multiple people at Roses and they all gave me consistent details about the service. When it was performed one of the guys called me right back and said that the transmission was not shifting smoothly and most likely would need to be rebuilt. He talked out the gravity of the repair being its one of the newer 6 speeds. He also went over some of the typical issues / concerns with the Ford 5.4L engines. He then refused to charge me for the service as he said he was able to quickly see the problems. These are the only guys I am interested in contacting when I need work done in the Fredricksburg area. Trustworthiness is not a common trait in the greater Northern Virginia Area.

After purchasing a car and driving home long distance I got a warning light on my dash. I was stranded in Fredericksburg which I had never been to before with a car that was missing on a couple cylinders. I found Rose Auto Clinic via Angie's List after distrusting the spammy reviews found on Google+. When I called I got an exact quote for the diagnostic scan. They were able to look at my car immediately upon arrival even though they had clients waiting and cars in the lot. The facility was nice and everyone acted professional. Another customer heard my story and asked how I ended up in this particular shop. I told him I found it via the internet and he said I found the right place.
The diagnosis matched pretty closely to what I thought the problem was (ignition coil) and they were able to fix it immediately. The quality seemed good and the problems were definitely rectified by the repairs. Because I was an out of towner, I feel I probably could have gotten a better price if they knew I was going to be a repeat customer, and that is the only reason I mark them low on price. For locals, I would definitely recommend anyone to go to Rose.

Rose Auto Clinic do quality work, they explain in detail everything. They are average on price, it is not anything special than everybody charge, but it is fair.

As I left this morning from my inspection and oil change, I noticed a huge crack in my windshield, which hadn't been there when I took the car in. I hadn't yet left the parking lot, so I went back in and asked them what happened to the windshield. They came out to look at it and said I must have hit a rock or something to cause the crack and showed where there was a spot where something had hit the windshield. The man said it was not their fault, they just did an oil change and an inspection, and told me to have a nice day.
I reiterate: I never left the parking lot. The inspection was brand new (2 minutes old) and included checking the windshield for cracks and breaks. My car passed inspection.
I am so disappointed. I have used Rose Auto for years and always felt I got a fair shake. They have excellent ratings otherwise. This is really saddening.

We took our 2011 Subaru Outback to Rose Auto Clinic last Saturday morning. It's first come, first served on Saturday, and my wife and I were there early to be first in line, which we were. The door opened promptly at 8:00, and we were greeted by Tom, who is the owner, and a genuinely friendly man with a very easy going manner. We told Tom we were smelling a chemical burning odor when the car idled, and suspected a fluid leak of some sort. Also, we were concerned that the car keeps burning out headlights every couple of months. We also thought the car needed a tune up, since we had it for over three years and hadn't had one yet. We also wanted our tires evaluated, as we had an issue with vibration after every other tire rotation. My wife and I waited while the mechanics worked on our car. We enjoyed chatting with Tom when he wasn't checking in customers, or checking with the mechanics in the garage. We were given progress reports several times while our car was being worked on. Tom told us the car didn't need a tune up yet, that the burning smell was oil leaking from the oil filter seal, and the oil was dirty and needed to be changed anyway, so they did that. We were told the voltage going to the headlights was correct, so the frequent burning out of them was still a mystery. However, I was impressed that they checked the internet for any service bulletins from Subaru regarding this issue. (There were none.) They changed the engine air filter. We were told the tire issue was due to irregular wear on one tire, causing vibration when that tire was mounted on the front. We were told what our options were as far as replacing the one tire, but Tom said it was safe to continue using that tire, as it and the others still had good tread. Tom told us the engine coolant was low, but no leaks. He said it was close, but not time yet to flush the system, and if we wanted he could top it up with coolant, or do the flush. We decided to do the flush, since it was close to the time to do it, and we were already there. We also asked if they could fix an anchor for one of our cargo nets that had come loose from the plastic molding it had been fastened to. This was taken care of, and we were not charged for that item. (If this was an oversight, we will gladly pay for the repair!) the total bill for our visit was $152 and change, very reasonable we thought. The gist of all this is that we were thoroughly pleased with our experience at Rose Auto Clinic. Tom is an honest man with integrity, and his business is an expression of those qualities. We were informed and advised honestly about what our car needed, and didn't need. This kind of honesty is so refreshing in a business where dishonesty is not uncommon. We will continue bringing our car to Rose Auto Clinic, and highly recommend them to anyone seeking quality, reasonably priced and honest auto service.

Initial diagnoses was the downstream O2 sensors. Rose replaced same. A week later my JEEP lite the CEL again with the same code. Rose again diagnosed it and found that the and quot;yand quot; tube with the pre-cats to be the culprit. Rose replaced the and quot;yand quot; tube and apologized for the original miss diagnose of the O2 sensors. Did not charge me for the correction.
I have been taking my vehicles to Rose since I moved to the area in 2005. They have always been great to me. They even replaced the lower end of the engine in my JEEP a couple of years back. Have never had a reason to complain or doubt their work The most recent case I have no problem with as it was corrected without any problems from Rose. Ronnie and Eric have always been great to me. Same for all of the mechanics but unfortunately I don't know there names but can say nothing but good things about them. I will continue to use Rose whenever I need/have any auto problems.

I have been dealing with this company for over 20 years and they are the best. Ronnie and Tom are great and their mechanics know what they are doing when it comes to any vehicle you bring them.
