Carney Irrigation & Lighting did an excellent job installing my new irrigation system. They were very careful throughout the process and managed to complete the installation without damaging the yard. Honestly, the yard looks almost untouched. Morgan and his crew led the project, and Morgan did an exceptional job with both marking and placing the sprinklers precisely where they needed to go.My initial quote experience with Bob F. also went smoothly. Bob took the time to walk me through the number of zones needed and the types of products Carney Irrigation uses.

Carney Irrigation & Lighting just installed an 24-zone irrigation system at my home. Their staff was very friendly and explained everything thoroughly. They did incredible work, and you can barely tell the yard was even disturbed when they were done. This is going to save me so much time (and water) to not have to move sprinklers around constantly in the summer. I highly recommend them!

I had Rick Carney Irrigation install my sprinklers this summer and it was a mistake. After the installation, my yard was flooding—like turning into a swamp flooding. After I asked them to come investigate, Rick Carney, I kid you not, blamed the clay in my soil because they couldn’t find a leak. I insisted there was a problem and after a month of them digging up my yard, turning my sprinklers backwards and leaving them, and several other unprofessional occurrences, a crew discovered that they shredded not one but three drainage pipes when running the lines. According to their PM, this was my fault because the obvious pipes coming from my downspouts going into the ground were not marked. I finally stopped dealing with them after several bungled attempts to “fix” the issue they caused. I hired actual professionals and found out that Rick Carney’s crews used duct tape to “seal” one drainage pipe and cut another one in half and reburied it which ended up flooding my yard… again. I highly recommend hiring anyone other than them to install your irrigation system.

Punctual, professional and just a pleasant experience. Want to give a particular shout out for the technician, Tim, who did the shut down and for Lindsey, office personnel/scheduler. They are some of the nicest people you'll ever want to meet - very helpful!.

Bob gave me my estimate we had to change scheduled several time due to all the rain we got at that time. He didn't want to leave ruts in the yard from the heavy equipment. My neighbors were very impressed with the timeliness. They were able to complete install in one day. It looked as if they had never been in my yard. I water as they suggested and all the high spots settled down. If a rotor needed moved or it sank lower that I liked they came back and placed them like I wanted.

Rick Carney Irrigation installed my system in 2007. They had to install a booster pump to help with the pressure. The booster pump failed last fall. I had a plumber come out to look at it. He told me the pump failed because of the way it was installed. The piping went from 1and quot; to 3/4and quot; back to 1and quot;, which caused something called and quot;cavitationand quot;. This required a new pump which is priced at $350 plus the cost of re-plumbing the pump. ($600 total). I counted this as my loss as the pump worked for 5 years.
However, I called RC and asked them to come out for a spring start-up, rebuild the backflow preventer valve and to replace 5 heads. They installed rotors and it really needs popups since it's on the side of the house and only needs to spray 5'. The girl on the phone estimated $300 for the things I listed. She scheduled an appointment and said a crew would be there any time from 12pm - 4:30p.
I took a 1/2 day from work, which is valued more than the $300 repairs. I got home at 11:45 and waited until 4:30. Nobody showed. I called their answering service and left a message. About 20 minuets later I get a call from someone who said they were on their way. About 5:00 a guy shows up and asks what I needed done. I explained. He said he didn't have any of the stuff to do the work, and I should call the office to reschedule.
Well, that's not going to happen. I already took a half day off from my job, and I'm not going to take another half day. I'm just going to get another company to come out in the evening or weekend. There are several that offer that service.
