We hired Ron Martin for a major project on our master bathroom. The original bathroom (home was built in 1987) was very large but horribly laid out - completely outdated - and included the main closet (accordion door style) for the entire master bedroom. It is really unfair to call this a renovation - it was a total remodel that included removing the old jetted tub, replacing the single sink vanity with a 2-sink vanity - replace a small corner shower with a oversize walk in shower - replace the toilet - all new tile flooring - new quartz countertop for the vanity - built in linen closet - and (most importantly) re-use of space to provide a very large walk-in closet with a separate entrance from the bedroom. The closet build included an effective hanging/organization set-up and new flooring. All of this was done while still maintaining the immense amount of natural lighting provided by existing skylights. All new wiring and plumbing was part of the project. From the beginning of the project, Ron sat down with us and presented a couple of design options and we worked with him to tweek the design to meet our own design/style preferences. Ron was fabulous in taking into account our changes/desires and incorporating everything into the final design. We were able to pick out the floor tile, wall tile, shower floor tile, shower system, toilet, sink faucets, and all wall/hanging accessories for the bathroom. From the demolition team to the framing/drywall team to the electricians tot he plumbing team - the quality of the work was exceptional and Ron's involvement (and presence) was outstanding. On 2-3 occasions, we were shown work that Ron or Eddy (his main construction manager) did not come out as well as they hoped and they were completely redoing! In one instance, the recessed lighting in the new walk-in closed were installed slightly (and I mean SLIGHTLY) off centered from the middle line of the closet. Ron had the electrician come back and re-install the 3 lights. Ron is just a is bit of a perfectionist when it comes to work for his clients! Eddy ensured the work area was cleaned after eery day and carpet covers and plastic was installed to protect the rest of the house from the construction area. They kept the driveway clear of debris and their tools organized in the garage space allocated. We were on a bit of an accelerated schedule as we had family visiting and Ron did everything possible to meet our desired timeline. (By the time our guests arrived - the only thing not finished was the installation of the custom shower door which happened just a few days later. The shower is amazing with a built in seat and 2 built ins for storage. The former bathroom vent (which was ineffective) was replaced with a new and more powerful venting system that keeps the mirrors from fogging over no matter how hot the shower water. Ron has been in the home remodeling business for over 30 years and it shows in how they execute the project. Ron's performance is all in the name of his company "Custom Building & Design". I am sure there are dozens of contractors out there that do home renovation/remodeling projects and I am sure a lot of them do great work. We had major damage done to our home due to a water pipe break on the upper floor of our house while we were away. Ron redesigned the entire kitchen, making it much more useable, and was responsible for repairing most of the rooms of the house, including redoing two bathrooms and all of the floors. We are thrilled with the outcome. Ron is extremely easy to work with and his advice was excellent. In addition, the workmanship was first rate. We are so happy that we chose him for our contractor and would use him again without question.

Ron and his crew recently completed a total remodel of our master bath. The workmanship was first class in every aspect; his crew, including subs, were friendly, helpful and competent; and the entire workspace was completely cleaned at the end of each workday. Ron Martin strives for customer satisfaction! The project consisted of the removal of a built-in tub, a double vanity, toilet, and shower stall; including wall and floor tile in the bath and adjacent walk-in closet. The new installation included a free-standing tub, double vanity with vessel sinks, a custom shower with floor to ceiling tile, toilet and floor tile in the bath and adjacent walk-in closet. The original project duration as planned for 3 to 4 weeks, but took about 6 weeks due to some subcontractor delays installing the quartz vanity top and the shower enclosure. In addition, we had a one week vacation planned which Ron worked around. Ron communicated his plans and scheduling consistently. Again, Ron strives for customer satisfaction and treated our home with respect by daily cleanup. Our 2 year old grandson enjoyed watching the work and Ron's crew, and subs, would interact with him whenever he saw them coming or going from the bathroom. I have worked with construction contractors for many years and can say the RW Martin Custom Building and Design is one the best customer oriented contractors that I have ever encountered. Like old friends, we will miss them in our home.

Highly recommend RW Martin Custom Blding!! I was impressed from the start of the project all the way to the end! Ron gave daily updates of the work planned for the day and kept me informed through the duration of the project. CLEANLINESS and CUSTOMER SERVICE is their top priority when entering your home. Steve Belcher did the majority of my work and I have never found anyone that is more compassionate and dedicated to their profession! Steve is very disciplined to detail and this displays in the outcome of his high quality work. I was treated like family rather than a business deal; therefore I was comfortable in knowing the job was being done as if it were their own home!!! The end results displayed complete SATISFACTION from this customer!

Excellent work on total project to replace word framing around my garage and second floor windows. Kept me very well informed as he worked through some weather delaying issues. I didn't have any left over paint from previous trim work, but he did a great job in finding a matching paint to blend in well with the rest of my trip. Will surely seek him out for any future work on my home and can see why he is already rated very well with Home Advisor.

Ron Martin and Steve and their crews were fantastic. They were very respectful of us and our home and property. Their estimates were fair and very inclusive of what we needed done. We did make changes along the way and they were receptive to our wishes and the extra costs readily factored and explained in detail. They were prompt and very professional in everything they did. Ron presented us with pictures of previous work done by his company for samples of his work and ideas if needed by us. The best recommendation I can give is that we are having Ron Martin and his crew fix up another bathroom for us in the very near future. We did have two other estimates from two other companies, but felt Ron Martin was the best one to choose and I am glad we did. Expert workmanship!!

Ron and his team replaced siding that had blown off during a storm. Additionally we hire him to do a very extreme repair from water damage on the front of our home. His team did a great job and warranted his work. We were very pleased with the quality of his work.

Taking on a major remodeling project is hard. The process of interviewing potential contractors, hammering out the particulars of the design, making the time for your project, and clearing your calendar, is a stressful and challenging endeavor. So finding the right contractor is essential not only for a successfully completed project, but also for your own sanity and mental well-being. That said, I���m pleased to report that Ron Martin Construction has just turned my aged and outdated, dark, and closed in kitchen into an updated and contemporary, bright, open space that has transformed the lower level of our home into a cheerful and elegant entertainment suite. I���m very happy with the final result. I���m also happy with the process getting to the result. Throughout the job, and even during the bidding process Ron has been very communicative. Communication is essential to a successful contracting endeavor. The great communication was evident while the bidding process was still open. Ron always answered my calls and questions and was never late to an appointment. When he presented the bid we sat at the kitchen table while we read through every page of the contract. All questions were answered and changes were made as needed to the contract before we signed. The down payment covered the cabinets. Ron didn���t cash the check until the cabinets were delivered. Work began the Monday after cabinet delivery. The tear out was performed cleanly and efficiently. Let me stress the cleanliness - even my driveway was swept clean at the end of each work day. More importantly I was left with a working skeleton of a kitchen. I could still make coffee and throw together a meal. The skeletal kitchen and the crew���s attention to cleanliness minimized chaos and made the entire process far more bearable. There were a couple problems with the tile and granite. Both problems were outside of Ron���s control. I ordered the wrong color tile. This caused a delay in delivery and pushed the end date of the job back a couple of days. It also added additional cost when the tile company, Turquoise Granite and Marble, charged both a shipping and restocking fee. Ron went to bat for me. He got the restocking fee lowered and then he paid half of that fee. I didn���t ask for that courtesy, he offered and stood by that offer making up for poor customer service from Turquoise Granite and Marble. Likewise he facilitated communication with the granite company. Rather than installing one long counter, Turquoise Granite and Marble cut the piece adding an unnecessary seam. Ron urged me to follow up and I ended up getting a refund of some of the initial cost. In fact, there was not a single question or concern that Ron didn���t personally follow up and fix. The workmanship is superior rivaled only by the quality of the customer service. The value of the completed kitchen far exceeds the cost of the project.
