I signed up for their BuySmart price freezing plan for a $50 ANNUAL fee in Oct 2021. I recently had propaine delivered in July 2022 and asked Quarles why the price went up. Their rep told me that the BuySmart price freeze was only for the "heating season" - Oct through Apr. Nowhere on the BuySmart application letter does it state that the freeze is only for the winter months. I felt ripped off. Misleading advertising.

After being a Quarles customer for years we had to terminate them this week. We were on a monthly payment plan with guaranteed and automatic delivery. However last week we were nearly out of oil. I called and 2 different people told me they should be able to get us oil in 15 days. They comforted me by saying other customers had run out of oil. Somehow in the middle of February Quarles has no oil for their long-term customers. We are now former customers.

Despite automatic delivery and a guarantee, Quarles let us run out of oil and can not deliver for another 15 days. It is February and there is snow on the ground... Unacceptable.

Quarles Energy Services has been my home heating oil provider for the past 36 years. During that time, I have been very satisfied with their service. But interactions with them last week make it necessary for me to place the company in the Customer Service Hall of Shame. Last Friday, I had my annual heating system checkup by my maintenance provider. During the inspection, the technician alerted me that my oil tank was on empty and that I was about to run out of oil. I am on an automatic refill plan with Quarles to ensure that such an emergency situation doesn’t happen. Furthermore, Quarles advertises a “no run out” guarantee for its auto refill customers. I immediately called Quarles to have them do an emergency refill. I was told by customer service that they could only guarantee an oil delivery at sometime within the next 15 business days, during which I was certain to run out of oil, during the middle of winter. I then spoke to a manager and got the same response. I asked about the “no run out” guarantee. She said sorry, they were not able to honor the guarantee at this point in time. I said that I had been on hold on the phone with them for a half hour and repeatedly heard a recording touting their guarantee. I was told that they need to talk to their marketing department to have that information removed from their advertising. What is the worth of a guarantee if it can be revoked without notice, during a home heating emergency? This is absolutely abhorrent customer service. For me, Quarles has been the image of efficiency and service for the past 36 years. Not anymore. Patronize them at your own peril.

Quarles said it would fill our oil burner fuel tank yesterday in advance of todays snow storm. The truck arrived at 9PM and filled our tank in advance of the storm as promised. The driver, Allen Herman, was polite and chipper, even at the end of a very long day. We have been Quarles customers for 25 years. Yesterdays service was just as good as when during a snow storm 20 years ago and the roads were impassible Quarles delivered us oil in 5 gal cans is a jeep.

I had a new 100 gallon tank installed by a licensed and insured contractor and inspected by the county code inspectors, including a pressure test. The customer service person at Quarles informed me they wanted $199.99 to do their own inspection on the brand new tank. Of the four propane companies I called in the Fredericksburg VA area, Quarles was the only one that had a new customer fee of any kind, much less an exorbitant fee like this. With other companies in the area offering essentially the same service but without the fees I can't see why anyone would pay $200.

I have used them for about 20 years now and am very pleased. They are not the cheapest, but they are very responsive and the service is excellent. Most recently I needed my gas logs cleaned and they referred me to another company that did a great job as well!

They respectful of my property and take the time to do a good job and not leave unnecessary residue behind.

They are great guys. They are on time and efficient. We have a service contract with them.

We ran out of heating oil, so i have called Quarles for the refill at 8 AM on January 24th. I told the person that I really need to have it delivered soon since our house is really cold. She responded that for $75.00, they can do the same day delivery. So I agreed to pay the extra. She called and left a message in the evening saying that the delivery would not be made until the next day (which is today).So I called this morning again to make sure that the delivery will be made for sure and also wanted to find out the delivery time frame. The lady told me someone will get back to me but no one did. Again we were left without the heater all day long. At 6:15pm my neighbor told me about Petro oil company in Arlington Va. I called them. The person who took my call was Paul and he was so so kind to offer to send someone to deliver 10 gallons of oil just for the night so that we will be able to have heat for tonight and he made sure that the rest of oil would be delivered tomorrow . He even gave me the specific time frame of delivery. When he said he would call me back, he did call me back unlike Quarles company. I got the automatic delivery account with Petro now and I will never ever use Quarles again. Quarles did deliver at night after I complained and cancelled the order. I felt very bad about the Petro person who came all the way to deliver the 10 gallons oil. I apologized for wasting his trip but he was very polite and he even came in to reset the boiler for me and left. What a great customer service Petro has!!! Quarles does not care if their customer is left without heat two days but PETRO DOES CARE!!!!

My experience with Quarles Energy Services Company has been fine. I've no complaints. Their pricing seems fair. Their service is pretty good. They are responsive. They have an automated refill service so I don't have to call them every time I need fuel. I would continue use them in the future.

I have been using them for the last 30 years. They have never disappointed me till date. I like their services and will use the same in future.

It's hard to get in. We have to be a member with a card to get into the gas station and use their diesel. They pretty much only exclusively cater to companies that have large diesel trucks. I think it's laughable. I get access to some specific diesel products that they sell for my vehicle. I have heard good things about them, but their communication is not the best.

I spent a couple hundred dollars to fill a large home oil tank. I think they are responsive and reasonably priced. I had them take out a tank that was underground and a new one that as above ground put in. They did an excellent job with that and when I had some issues, so I called them and they helped me out, even though it wasn’t necessarily within their described reach.

Appointment was made and they came on-time. Inspected all parts of the system, offered suggestions and courteous.

They come and they go check it out, they went down stairs and checked the Freon to see if everything was working, he went to the attic that is where the air conditioner is and the thing on the outside is the fan. They took all the readings on that. They went and tore the boiler apart and vacuumed it out, checked the relays and were okay. The reason I have it done is because I have an expandable tank that heats the water on demand. He checks that to make sure I have hot water. They check out the battery on the control because the control was not working. They came, they were on time, polite, they were probably out here for an hour and a half. I bought the house in 1999 and have been working with them since we bought the house. They are real nice people, I had a problem in the winter, no heat and no hot water, I called them up and they fixed the relay switch.
