Homeowner Beware... This company is definitely one to look out for when considering Gutter Guards for your home. Two years ago this company sold me their product and installed the gutter-hoods on my home. Unfortunately, they ran out of material and could not finish the installation of the product I paid for. So, they offer another product that was of a lower quality to finish my gutters over the garage. I agreed and went with that, for a reduced price. But, this is not the issue. A year in a half later, we experienced a few severe thunderstorms, which caused major leaks coming through my son's bedroom window. Remind you, my home is brand new and at the time only a year old. I ended up calling the sales consultant "Tim Reffner", who sold me the products, and left a voice mail for him to call me back, regarding the leak situation and asking to send someone out to check the gutter guards. Unfortunately, I never received a callback from him, even after several calls leading back to his voicemail. I ended up temporarily securing the window with towels during the storms; note, this was also occurring during the pandemic and I was too busy to keep following up with Tim. Now, it is 2021 and we have been experiencing more heavy rains since then, and I ended up calling my homeowner insurance "AllState" to send an adjuster out to examine where these leaks were coming from. Maybe it was the house, but I didn't know. The Allstate Adjuster informed me that the gutter guards/hoods were not completely installed over my son's window-pane and there was a 3 to 4-inch gap where the gutter-hoods should have been covered but didn't. Since there was a gap not covered by the gutter hoods, it caused leaves to get trapped in the gutter itself, as well as rainwater also being trapped in the open gap area causing major leaks into my son's bedroom window. This pretty much was a build-up over time and finally broke through. Allstate informed me that this is the reason for the leaks and that I needed to contact the company who installed the gutter-hoods and have them fix/repair/add to correct the situation. With that said, Allstate could not help! So, this brings me back to the company "Quality Building Products/ Gutter-Hood." I reached out again to the salesman "Tim Reffner", and again no response or callback. I have also spoken to John, possibly a manager at the company and he said he would look into the situation. I called John back and he stated that he would get in touch with the Product or Project Manager and him to contact me directly to see how to move forward. I also provided John with my email as a backup in case they could not reach me directly by phone. Since our initial conversation, I have not heard back from John, I have called and called and left voice messages, again no reply or callback. With this said, it saddens me to write this review, especially when small businesses are struggling during this time period. However, I have to do my part and due diligence when it comes to things like this. I am so tired of seeing people get taken advantage of by these companies. I am also a minority, and this could also play a part when some folks are being taken advantage of. This may or may not be true for them, but you never know. In short, watch out for this company, and definitely do your homework when considering any contractor. Right now, I am stuck with this situation and trying to figure out how to get it fixed and I do not have the money to throw around again at something that should have been professionally been handled from the start. If I were you consider another company, and not QUALITY BUILDING PRODUCTS/GUTTER-HOOD.
