We were relo'ing from NC to VA and in Temp housing trying to purchase a home quickly.
Our relocation company had referred us to two realtors, however it didn't take long for us to realize these people were in it for the quantity of clients, not quality of the ones they had.
Both of them pushing the work of research to us, sending us lists of hundreds of home, vs narrowing it down to the homes that met our description of what we like. Telling us get on the internet and call when we found something, and they would let us know what time worked well for them to show us the houses!
In our 1st contact with Pam, she described her personal experience as one who had relo'ed every few years for a long time, so she understood how hard and stressful it was to find a home that met our needs and could re-sell quickly (12-24 months), because you knew your job would move you again.
Her empathy and understanding of the stress of finding a home and getting settled in a new city was clear!
Her dedication to us was clearly more personal than professional.
For various reasons, we went through several homes, but either they did not comp out or the contract failed in the early stages of appraisal & home inspection. So we couldn't get to close.
We had Pam driving from one end of Prince William County to the other (literally) and she just hung in there.
At one point we told her that we would understand if she wanted to 'move on' as the time she was investing far out stripped what she was going to get compensated; to which she replied - "I have never left a client high and dry and am not about to start with you".
It took few more weeks, and we contracted with a great homeowner, but a dishonest real estate agent who made us fearful the contract would fail yet again. Pam spent an inordinate amount of time working with this agent, keeping our 4 week time table on track to get us to close!
Thanks Pam for helping us with a tough Relo and landing us a very nice home.
We will see you in a year or two when we need this home listed for sale!
