Billy Mock did a super job of replacing 28 existing windows with wood Jeld-Wen windows that I purchased from Home Depot.  Billy and his carpenters were responsive to our concerns about minimizing the need to touch up or otherwise repair interior wood trim, and suggested adding banding to the trim to cover marks from the existing trim given that the new windows were a touch narrower than the existing windows.  I prepped and painted (exterior) and stained (interior) the windows myself, and Billy gave me tips on how best to do it, given that they normally perform that service.  Very helpful.  Billy and his crew always showed up when they said they would, and worked so late one day to complete the job that I set up floodlights so we could see.  Billy was a pleasure to work with.

They are the cheapest ones and their customer service was fine. Overall one of the engines doesn't work.

I put in a request online to be contacted for estimate appointment, and I was contacted within a couple of hours.  The representative did his best to accommodate my schedule, but nothing was available within 2 weeks, so he asked what were the rough sizes of the window?  He then gave me an estimate of 650 per window, and explained why the prices were that way.  When I asked about other options, such as triple paned windows and argon gas, he stated that it is not necessary for our climate, that all of the upgrades some will try to sell are more suited for more intense climates.  When I asked him what the process was to replace a window, he gave me a very detailed explanation on how a window is replaced, including why the siding needs to be removed to do it properly, what some less than desirable work practices were,  and so on.  When I asked if he had any financing options, he said he didn't, he stated that most companies that offered to give him financing options had terms he wasn't comfortable passing on to his customers.  He said that if I would like to hire him, that I can call back anytime to set up a formal estimate.  He also recommended that when I do get other estimates, to ask about the process they would use to replace the windows, which has been helpful already.

I have not dismissed the possibility of using this provider, but I am still looking since the price for the product seems a little high.

I ordered a set of Jeld-Wen windows for my kitchen remodel from Mr. Billy Mock.  The window arrived and was installed by my contractor while I was away for the day.  When I got home and examined the windows I found that the shipping straps had damaged the outside of the window frames.  When I went to crank the widows open, they were very hard to open and not at all smooth like a new window should be.  After opening the windows, I found that there were several places that had nails sticking out where there shouldn't be.  This window had obviously been missed by the quality control people at Jeld-Wen.  When Mr. Mock came to look at it he claimed that it was installed incorrectly causing it not to open smoothly.  When asked about the damage to the wood on the outside of the frames and the nails sticking out, he stated that, "well, you can expect that."  

I expect that from a second hand window.  Mr. Mock advised me to call the manufacturer and take it up with them if I wanted to return an obviously flawed window.  He was not willing to help at all, and does not stand behind the product that he sells.  

After many months and many phone calls to Jeld-Wen, I did receive a refund check for the money that I had invested in the bad window.  My contractor procured an Anderson window from someone else and I gave the crappy window (Jeld-Wen told me to keep it) to Habitat for Humanity.

The replacement of the patio door was difficult since the opening was not a standard size. Billy Mock, the owner of Old Town Windows and Doors worked with us to find a custom door that would work for the opening. We were very pleased with the door and delighted with the installation. Billy and his carpenter Tommy are true craftsmen and did a superb job installing the door and replacing the molding.

Olde Towne Window and Doors did a great job.  We had 2 other big name vendors give us an estimate.  Billy, the owner, came out the same day I called and gave us an estimate that was in the middle of the other two.  The best part with OTW&D was that Billy discussed what would have to be done for some windows we were changing from picture to working windows.  The other 2 vendors were just salesmen and didn't really understand how things were done.  Also we like that with OTW&D, we were able to see his work on a home that was currently being done and also a home that he did a few years ago.
During construction his employees were very professional and were meticulous about cleaning up every evening.  We liked that Billy would check on the progress and make sure things were how we wanted them.  There were a couple windows that were not correct, so he reordered and replaced with no charge to us.
OTW&D quality of windows and installation was worth paying a little more.  If we ever need any other work done on our home we will definitely use them again.

Due to artillery training aboard MCB Quantico, the shock waves cracked one of the windows in the front of the house, on the first floor.  After some cold weather, the entire window cracked.  Called Olde Towne, explained my dilemma, and set an appointment.  The individual showed on time, investigated the extent of the damage, and provided an estimate.  It sounded a little pricey to me for replacing one window pane but he explained it was a dual window pane with tinting and it would have to be custom-made.  I ordered the window and was told I would be called within a few days for an estimate of time to make and tint the window.  After a week, I called Olde Towne and was told the window was made but the tinting wasn't done.  After a few more days, I was called and told the window was ready for install.  Made an appointment and Olde Towne showed at the correct time.  Within short order the window was installed and looked just like the original.  I checked the work and discovered that the exterior window molding was badly chipped.  It actually looked like a significant piece of it was missing.  I asked the installer about it and he told me that sometimes that occurred.  I asked him how he was going to fix it and he told me he wasn't.  That was my responsibility.  I haven't figured how a window installer who installs a window for which I paid a fairly large sum of money, chips the molding, and it's the homeowners responsibility to repair it.  I had to fill in the molding and paint it to complete the job.

Billy showed up on time for our appointment.  He had on a Hampden-Sydney hat which is from where my son graduated, so we had something to talk about (His son also graduated from the same college).  He was a good listener and got back to me within a week with a quote.  It was not the cheapest, but I felt the most comfortable with Billy from our initial meeting.  I was excited about getting the job started, but it took about a month before they could get to me.  I took this as a good sign.  Tommy was the primary craftsman, and I found him professional and a bit of a perfectionist.  While I was at work BIlly texted me pictures of the progress which I thought was a nice touch.  Overall I am thrilled with their work, and I cannot speak highly enough of Olde Towne Window and Door.  I would use them again in a second.

Initially there was trouble scheduling a date. I was on a time crunch, due to other work I was getting done on the house, and they had a full schedule. 3 weeks turned to 6 weeks, before they could make it out to do the work, but it was worth the wait.
They arrived on time, and went right to work. They removed the old door, replaced the framing, sealed it and put the new door in. They even helped me re-attach my security sensor (which had to be removed from the old door).
They were very professional, and paid attention to detail.
I was very pleased with the work and am considering hiring them again.

We contacted Olde Towne Window, Door and Siding initially because we wanted to replace a set of french doors from our family room to the patio as well as two bathroom windows. We also had an exterior door that was not installed properly and we wanted to either get that adjusted or replaced.  

We were extremely impressed with this company's responsiveness and professionalism, as well as the actual installation and carpentry work necessary to make repairs to the woodwork around an existing exterior door, which had been installed improperly by someone else.

Because we were so impressed with their work and due to the reasonableness of their prices, we were able to go ahead and replace an additional 6 windows we had originally planned on replacing at a later date. 

We are absolutely thrilled with the workmanship, the quality and the pricing - and the new windows absolutely change the look of the house, for the better. 

If you prefer to support local businesses and want work done by a reliable company where the owner is involved from start to finish (even on site with installations) you will like working with this one.

I simply appreciated that he was willing to take my needs into consideration and refer me to someone that could assist me at a resonable price.

Billy Mock is the owner of the company. He personally reviewed the problem, provided estimates, showed up on the days of the job, and even texted me pictures of the job in progress (while I was at work). 
Everything was completed to satisfaction as promised. Wait. Everything was completed beyond my level of expectation. He replaced the trim surrounding the windows and everything looks like new. We are so happy with our new windows that we decided not to put up blinds. We love the view and love not having to worry about painting or caring for them. Wish we had done this job sooner as it made a huge difference to the house.
Olde Towne Window & Door delivers high quality craftmanship. Although the estimate was not the lowest, I don't mind paying for high quality work that will last a lifetime. I cannot say enough about the excellent work that was completed at my house. Integrity and professionalism abound. Billy and his crew went above and beyond with the particular issues that my old house presented along the way. I would highly recommend them.

Contacted the vemdor after reviewing Angie's List.  Received estimate within 3 days of initial contact, however, vendor could not complete repairs until a week later due to inclement weather.  On day of repairs, he arrived on time and completed repairs withourt any problems .  Workmanship was excellent...very positive experience.

I called to ask for an estimate on a window repair/replacement and when my call was finally returned, the installer/owner just gave me an estimate on the cost of a new window. He didn't bother to set up an appointment to even look at the window and tell me if it could be repaired.

Billy of Olde Towne Window and Door is very nice, helpful, informative and professional in his dealing with customers.  He was very punctual for his estimate appointment.  He readily took us to a previous satisfied customer to see the quality of his work firsthand.  His estimate was actually lower than the one I finally decided to go with so I had no problem with his prices..  He ended up being number 2 on my list of estimates received through no fault of his own.  I had become convinced through internet research that I wanted a window that Billy didn't install on a regular basis.  I also learned in my research that quality installation is of utmost importance when replacing windows.  Billy even offered to go outside his regular product line to get and install the window I like the best but I turned him down.  My decision was based on getting the window that I really wanted from an installer that installs that window on an every day basis.  I found such an installer on Angies List with many very positive reviews and I have accepted their bid.

They are fantastic, very specific, and did a good job.  I really couldn't find anybody else in the area that specifically did windows and doors, so it was hard to compare the price.  I researched it and it was easier to go with him as he's been doing it since 1976.  He has excellent quality.  He put a door in in the Fredericksburg area and they were ecstatic.  He is good on older homes.  I would recommend and continue to use them.
