"Dear Member, I'm sorry that you are not satisfied. We were called out to investigate a severely water-damage corner kitchen cabinet. We removed the cabinet and discovered that the toilet wax ring in the bathroom above had failed, leaving a toxic mix of sewage and black mold on the cabinet top and all surrounding drywall. To remove the cabinet, all the crown molding had to be taken down as well as an adjoining cabinet. The drywall on the walls and ceiling had to be replaced after it dried out. We matched the oak finish on the over 20-year-old cabinet as best we could. Unfortunately, with the varying density and wood grains in oak, the exact color in the finished product does sometime vary from the finish samples manufactures provide, even within the same cabinet order. Considering that the cabinet doors are full overlay doors, less than a 1/2" of wood shows and the color actually was not far off from the color variations on other cabinets. The total cost of the job actually came to $821, which included all labor, materials, and multiple trips to the job site. We always strive to do jobs properly and within what customers budget. "This was one of those jobs that went exceptionally well. Our first take on it was that we were going to need to disturb a lot of finish trim work and drywall to get to the vent pipe. But with additional investigation my tech determined that he could reconnect the vent and remove the cleaning brush from outside without any interior work. I'm glad this one turned out so well! The technician ran into some unexpected structural conditions with framing the opening when installing the ladder, which would have been better dealt with had he thought to call the office for assistance from another tech. That being the case, I thought it fair to issue a refund for some of the time wasted with the inefficiencies of going it alone. Al Starck, President"

"I'm very sorry that you were not satisfied with the final cost. But often times larger rooms can be painted as quickly or quicker than bathrooms. Bathrooms typically have a lot of fixtures, mirrors, and the like to cut in around. The technician's notes indicate that both rooms first had drywall repairs to be made and then primed, both bathrooms were completed with two coats of paint, and then there were the light fixtures to install. He was only one hour over the 5 to 6 hour quote given when the job was scheduled. Nevertheless, I am disappointed that you weren't satisfied with the cost. I prefer to have jobs come in under the verbal estimate whenever possible.
