Main Heating & Air has serviced our home since 2014. They have always provided great customer service and performed EXCELLENT work. Today they serviced me by replacing our water heater. The work they did was exceptional! The repair techs were very professional, thorough and finished faster than I expected. I will never call anyone else but Main Heating and Air to service our home. Perfect. The original installer had the system wired completely wrong.  Whenever it got really cold, the system could not keep up with the temperature and dropped steadly.  Tony had to unwire everything, figure out what the other guy did and then re-wire it correctly.  He was prompt, friendly  and professional.  On top of that, I feel so comfortable working with the company.  Tony is incredible.  Wish I could give him an A++.

Tony did outstanding work on every aspect of major job. I would and do highly recommend his firm. His wife Cindy is the coordinator/scheduler. You couldn't meet a nicer, more positive person. His Dad installed a lot of the ductwork. Very neat , quality job. Very pleased.

Tony was excellent, and extremely professional from the very beginning with the initial call, through the completion of the job. The job went smooth, on time, no surprises and the area was left better and cleaner that when he arrived. Tony's answering service (his wife) was kind, very attentive, courteous and reassuring with all the answers and support that was expected. We have added this company to our list to start servicing our future needs.

Said they had time to do the work right then if I wanted. I hired them on on the spot and they had it moved very quickly. The work is very clean, very neat. They are terrific to work with for all A/C Heating needs. They have replaced both our units over the years, cleaned out condensation lines, serviced them in Fall and Spring, and attended to every need we or our tenants have had for the last 10 years. Responsive, professional, with fair pricing. Do call them if you want the straight answer and a professional who stands by his work.

I got three estimates, Main's negotiated a bit to get my business, Tony was so professional, that is what sold me. They were a little pricey but got the job done and did it well! I would recommend their services to any one needing Heat/AC work.

Everything (the service provided, timeliness, professionalism, cost, etc.,) was excellent, I wished there were more service providers like Main's Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc.

All employees were on time, very polite, and took the time to explain everything to me before performing any billable repairs. After the diagnostic and before beginning the repair, he went over several options for fixing it, and explained prices, pros and cons of each. After repairs were completed, a small problem was found by the tech who was testing the system after making his repairs. The problem was fixed, and part repaired at no cost - he said he wasn't going to charge me since he didn't find it before writing up the bill. EXCELLENT customer service, I highly recommend them.

I had a word-of-mouth referral to Mains Heating and Air from my neighbor down the street. They came highly recommended by both they and Angie's List. When I called, I spoke to Mrs. Mains and asked for an estimate. Their estimates are free and we schedule it for a convenient time, which was also very prompt (like the next day I think). Mr. Mains himself came and did the estimate, checking both the inside and outside units. I told him I'd already received two estimates. We talked for a bit and he said he was confident he could beat their prices and do quality work, promptly, at the same time. He gave me a quote over email the very next day, from Mrs. Mains (who is incredibly kind and likable and courteous, as well as easy to talk to on the phone). I discussed it with my husband and then we decided to go with Mains. They had the best price (although that wasn't necessarily the determining factor), were straightforward, prompt, transparent and professional. Mr. Mains has been in business for many years and in the HVAC industry for even more years than he has owned his own business.
We scheduled the work. Mr. Mains and his assistant (his nephew) arrived on time and got RIGHT to work, wearing booties to keep the house clean while working. They were quiet and worked hard, getting the replacement system installed in near record time, testing the system and also sweeping up after themselves (mostly us, as they hardly made a mess but instead cleaned up after our kids mostly!!). Mr. Mains then showed me the new system, indoors and out, and how to operate the new thermostat. He provided me with all of the materials for the system in a nice, organized folder and said if I had any questions to ask or call anytime.
I did have to call with a question, which Mr. Mains came out to check on/answer and did so promptly and courteously, checking over the entire system and then figuring out that the issue was not with the system but with our circuit breaker. He didn't make me feel bad that he'd spent time checking the system when indeed nothing was wrong, but was glad to do so.
The only drawback is for those who would like to have in-house financing if they are spending a lot of money. We did not need this, but some folks do, or prefer that, so that may be a consideration. However--since they own and operate their own business, they are flexible and can discuss payment options with you, as they mentioned to me.
Overall, great job, very satisfied. Christian family, solid company, family owned and operated. Recommend!!

Mains Heating and Air Conditioning replaced two HVAC's in our new home and did a fantastic job! This is the second major HVAC replacement we've performed with Mains Heating and Air Conditioning and absolutely recommend them for anyone. In June 2011 we had to replace an HVAC in our rental home in Arlington. We received estimates from Michael n Sons and one other service company. Tony Main (owner) provided a better estimate than the other two competitors and gave us different options if we couldn't afford a full replacement right away. He also removed part of a brick wall that enclosed the old HVAC so the new system would run better. Tony and his team were efficient, clean, on time, so polite and did a fantastic job! In December 2011 we purchased a new home and had Tony and his team replace the systems in the new home. The systems were over 20+ years old and our son suffers from asthma. We talked through different pricing and options for our home to help keep our air clean and home efficiently cooled and heated. Tony was on time, left no mess, thoroughly explained our new system and even took the time to program our thermostat exactly how we wanted it. Tony drove all the way from Fredericksburg (we live in Fairfax) but was always on time, polite, available to answer questions. He also gave us a detailed packet containing information on our new systems and answered all of our questions. We trusted Tony and his team in our home to install the HVAC without us being present-that is how much we trust Mains Heating and Air Conditioning. We have since recommended Tony and team to several other friends who have used their services and are also very happy with the service and follow up. Main's Heating and Air is a small family run business that beats the competition any day. Billing and all paperwork is done by his kind wife Cindy who is so responsive, professional and very detailed. We know if we ever have any problems Tony will respond right away and go above and beyond to repair anything. They are fantastic!! Highly recommend!

We replaced the outside A/C unit (for our second floor system) a year ago, someone who did it "on the side". A different company replaced the attic air handler about 6 months later. We have had problems with that system since the outside unit was replaced, and the replacement air handler didn't fix those problems. I first called Main's Heating and Air Conditioning on one of those unusually warm days we had a few weeks ago. I was in traffic behind on of their trucks, and figured, "Why not, I'm not calling back either of the guys who did work before." My appointment was set up for the following week, at my request. They could have come earlier, but I wanted to set the appointment for a day I'd be home (and that week the school where I work was on spring break). My only hitch with this company came when they called and asked to reschedule my appointment for a later date. I understand that Main's is a small company, and has limited manpower, but I felt a little miffed that my appointment (set a week prior) was being bumped. I was on break that week, so one more day wasn't really that big of a deal. Tony Main came to my home on time and promptly got to work. He diagnosed the problem almost immediately (a leak in the refrigerant coil in the outside unit) and told me that he would have to order the part. I groaned when he told me it would take 5-7 days for the new coil to arrive, but that's not his fault. (I even checked with another contact in the A/C industry who confirmed both the price and time to delivery of the coil.) He gave me a price quote and we set an appointment for the repair. The part came in and was installed, and Tony checked to see that the outside and attic units were working properly together. He found that the attic unit had a wrong size part involved in controlling the air flow, and got a replacement part the next day. He showed up right when he told me he would, and completed his work quickly. Even with the additional visits for refrigerant and the added part for the inside unit, Tony didn't alter his original price quote. Throughout the extended repairs, Tony Main was professional, honest and stuck to his word. His outstanding level of customer service is rare in today's society. He went the extra mile, not only repairing the problem I initially called him about, but he also found and repaired an additional problem without altering his initial price quote. Tony truly was motivated to make sure my A/C system worked properly, not just throw in a part and get paid. I recommend Main's Heating and Air Conditioning highly and without reservation.
