Mark and Dale (and Jeff) are terrific! I have been taking my Volvo to them for several years now. I had taken it to the dealership but found I was being charged for items that weren't necessary. Mark is always upfront and tells you JUST what is needed at the time, giving suggestions on when a specific repair needs to be done. They also document everything (as it should be!) in the car maintenance guide where as the dealership never did. Their service charges are reasonable and I KNOW I am getting superior work done with genuine Volvo parts. I highly recommend Lails!

They inspected the entire car and pointed out things to my wife that would need to be done. They showed the life of the breaks and that we didn't need to replace the breaks now but we would need to do it soon. They were very thorough and professional. My wife felt very welcome and she didn't feel like it was a mechanic talking to a woman.

Overall, I really think I found a place I can trust. It's unfortunate he only does Volvo's as I would love to have one guy for all 3 cars, but at least now I can send my wife to him if needed and not feel like I need to go along to make sure she's not getting ripped off.They took the car late on a Wed. said it would be done by COB Friday and they called at 1:00 Friday saying it was ready.
To understand the type of place it is, I spoke with him about Tires for the car (it goes through a set in about 20K miles) and he gave me advice on sizing/types and brands, we talked about it for a good 10 minutes, then I asked them what they sell (if anything) and he said depending on his suppliers he occasionally gets good prices on tires, but they really only do them as a benefit for the customer and I'd probably be better off going to the tire chain store.
Needless to say, I will use them for any work I don't do myself from now on.

Brought in an older Volvo w/ over 200K miles for an evaluation. Mark was polite, professional and efficient and identified only those items that needed repair. I was not in a hurry, so left car for several days - they were very careful to make sure that I understood when service would be completed. Work was completed as promised with no follow up required. When I picked up the car, spend some pleasant time talking with the owners (Mark and Dale), who gave me a great primer on what goes into cost estimates for Volvo repairs; some of the steps they take to reduce customer's costs (like deferring service requiring special Volvo database subscriptions/tools until multiple customers have a need - and spreading cost over larger number of clients); and the history of their operation. They were very knowledgeable about other auto service providers in the area, and we discussed the advantages/disadvantages of many.

The price rating of B due only to the higher price commanded by Volvo OEM parts and does not reflect a reduction in the provider's value.

They don't offer loaner car service to keep their costs competitive and you should be prepared to leave your car for a day or two depending on the level of service required. Not the easiest to find, but I strongly recommend making these folks your go-to Volvo service provider if you live near the Stafford/Fredericksburg area.
