8.16.19 - Damaged Siding We had King Koncrete install a $12,000 patio for us in April, 2018. They did a nice job. However, within a month, a thin crack appeared in one of our 4' wide patio landings; it went completely across the top of the landing, ran down one edge, and partially down the other. Our siding adjoining the exit landing and steps, roughly 24' of it, was also stained during the patio's construction (see photos). We made many attempts to contact Rigo, the owner, via phone and email (5/25/18, 1/12/19, 1/13/19, 1/16/19, 1/16/19, 6/8/19, and beyond) asking him to come out and inspect these issues. I also contacted the VA Better Business Bureau; however, Rigo/King Koncrete never returned their calls, either. He never came out until I posted a 1-star, NEGATIVE REVIEW on their website on 6/8/19. As of 6/8/19, the crack extends completely through the entire landing; the siding has not been repaired/cleaned. I have saved notes and e-mails. Rigo finally came to our home on 6/8/19 to inspect our 2 issues; he explained that the crack needed to be a "nickel's thickness" to be of concern; I was ok with this info and will keep an eye on this. Regarding the stained siding, Rigo did send a 2-man crew out on 6/8/19. They attempted to remove the stain using chemicals, wire brushes, & a power washer; however, the stain, and now wire brush scratches, are still there & very noticeable. I e-mailed Rigo on 6/10/19; he called me on 6/11. He stated that there was nothing else he could do, and gave me the name/phone# of the siding's supplier so that I could buy the 24' of siding myself. On 6/12/19, I emailed Rigo with a request that King Koncrete purchase & deliver the 24' of matching siding for/to me, at their expense. I stated that I'd have someone install it. I provided Rigo with the siding information and left a color-matched sample on my driveway. As of 6/23, I have heard nothing back from Rigo/King Koncrete. In sum, I reminded Rigo of the following: 1-My wife and I have done nothing wrong; 2-The stains appeared immediately after patio's installation; 3-He never followed up as promised; 4-We paid a good sum of $$$ for the patio; and 5-He promised us a 2-year warranty. King Koncrete does not follow up with post-construction issues and promises...BUYER BEWARE...

Paid $1010.00 to get on their list 3 months ago and got a decent quote. They emailed me about how hot the temperature was last week and apologized for not showing up and deferred till 8/1. I patiently waited for them to show up today (8/1 ) and they never did show up. Took off from work and waisted my money for their no show. I called them about 20 times today and various emails and no replies. My expectations were not considered at all. It’s like they vanished. I definitely want my deposit back, will keep everyone posted.

Overall, Rigo and his team did an excellent job and we are thrilled with the results. We first contacted Rigo more than a year ago to have him design a deck/patio for us. His design was creative and was exactly what we were looking for, though very expensive we thought. Fast forward a year and we got additional quotes, using Rigo's ideas as our benchmark. Not only did we find other contractors to be less responsive, and less creative, most were even more expensive. I immediately emailed Rigo and asked him to update his quote for us. Within a day I had the quote back and we signed a contract and paid our deposit. He was very busy, so he told us it would be several weeks before he could begin work. Throughout the wait, he was very responsive via both text and email. Once the job started, his team was professional and timely and the craftsmanship was excellent. They took care of our property and cleaned up after themselves while here. The end result was fantastic and we would definitely contract King Koncrete as well as recommend them to others.

Overall went very well. They were so busy they did not have time to put a Trex rain shield under the deck to keep water off of the patio below. They said they would be back when things slow down in the fall. The work is very good.

They responded to my calls efficiently, and kept the expected start date! Arrived professional and able to answer any and all questions. Will hire again for further projects more affordable than other companies that quoted us, and had better time lines as well as keeping to it!

The estimate process was fairly simple. We placed a $1000 deposit. We were given a July 1 start date, that was pushed back to July 20th. On the 20th no one called or showed up or responded to our phone calls regarding why no one showed up to work. After a few emails were sent, someone finally responded and set up the work to start the first week in August. They asked me to choose colors from their website, however it was non-functioning, so I had to search through Facebook for pics, there were only five pictures. I chose a gray patio and Rigo confirmed with a picture of a gray concrete, little did I realize that the picture was two-toned and was an extra charge. When I brought up the charge, he told me that on the original invoice I had signed in May it said that if they did a two-toned stamped patio that it was $350 more. I admitted that I did not remember an invoice from May since it was now August. Furthermore, when he confirmed he did not reiterate that there would be a $350 dollar price increase. We agreed on the middle of the $350 for the work. The patio was installed correctly, however they walked all over my deck which was recently painted an expresso color, they also put their handprints all over the posts. Footprints are up and down my deck stairs and all over it. When asked about it, I was told to wash with soap and water. However after a soap and water wash, and several heavy rains, the concrete did not come off. They said they would show up to fix it with their punch out guy and I am still waiting. It's been almost two months. Their lack of responsiveness and professionalism in completing a job through to the end is surprising considering they pride themselves on being a referral based business with zero to no advertising. Would not recommend them for services and will definitely not use them again.

The installation went very well. However, a year later one of the inset lights quit working and I would like to order additional plastic hood lights used on our sitting wall as our son runs into them a lot w toys. I have called 8 times over a six month period; left voice messages; and left a message w the young lady who has only answered twice out of the eight times I've called. I was told that Rigo (the owner) would come out to address the lights. We have yet to see or even hear from the company at all. It's safe to say the job goes very well but any follow up or contact afterwards is nonexistent. I would be happy if he even called just to tell me how to fix them myself and where I could order the matching lights.

The work was completed in a very professional manner and we were very happy with the quality of the work performed. Based on their work we also asked them to remove a cracked concrete patio and replace it with a stamped concrete patio.

Totally professional showed up on time for initial consult. I made my decision and they showed up for me to sign the contract at the time frame decided and to select the design I wanted stamped in my walkway. They took the deposit and the office manager called and we selected a start date. I was called before the actual start date and asked if they could start a day early, which I gladly accepted. They showed up on time on the earlier day and went right to work. They cleaned up their mess and even leveled out the dirt to my new walkway to my pool. They came back the next the sealant on the walkway. They even rolled up my hose that was just laying outside. I highly recommend King Koncrete. They were totally professional from start to finish. They did not have a minimum job requirement.

It went very well. This work was done in December and King Koncrete worked around the bad and cold weather by completely wrapping the patio area in thermal blankets and adjusting schedule for days they were able to work (i.e., no rain, weather above 32 degrees, etc.). The only thing that could be improved upon would be communication the night before telling me that they were planning to work on the patio the next day. As I said, due to weather scheduled work days had to be adjusted. King Koncrete used their years of experience to suggest ideas and changes to our rudimentary plans. They were professional, quick, cleaned up after themselves, sealed the patio real well to ensure we get years of pleasure out of it.

Fantastic! We didn't really have any firm ideas of what we wanted other than a nice outdoor space. Rigo, the owner, offered us some great ideas and options we hadn't considered at a very reasonable price. The work was done on time and as advertised, even with a few minor additions we requested as the project was started. Rigo's crew was very friendly and professional. I would use them again or recommend them to friends in a heartbeat!

Poorly. First, I want to start off by saying that I am not normally the person to submit a review. However, I want to be sure that future consumers are fully aware of what they are getting themselves into w/ King Koncrete and their owner Riggo. I will say that the quality of the patio is good; however, the experience leading up to the service was awful. There was zero communication throughout the entire process. Riggo came out to our home on 6/18/2016 to do an estimate and give us his sales pitch as to why we should go with King Koncrete versus the "other guys." There are a few things that Riggo said that sold us on the company. The first was the price, they beat out the other estimates we received. 2) The fact that Riggo told us that day that he is on every single job site on every job. 3) Things that they included, other companies nickled and dimed for. Overall, we got the impression that Riggo was honest and fair, and that is why we decided to go with them. I cannot dispute that the price is reasonable, but you get what you paid for. There was absolutely no communication whatsoever throughout this whole process. Initially, we were told that our projected start date was the end of July/beginning of August. As we started nearing that time, I had heard nothing from the company so I called and was told that the date had been pushed back to the first week of August. So we waited and again heard nothing so I called again. I was then told that we were now pushed out to August 15th. On August 14th, I still had heard nothing from the company so I called at about 4:45 pm and was told by the girl in the office that yes they in fact would be at our home between 8:30am-9:30am. So the next day comes and no one showed up. Come 1130, I called the company and spoke to Riggo Jr. and was told that they in fact were not going to be there. At this point, I lost my patience. Apparently, Riggo had made the decision the evening before and no one called to tell me. Long story short, we were pushed to Aug 18th. The crew arrives and starts work. Now, we had agreed with Riggo that the gate would need to come off the backyard so they could get their equipment through but we were told by Riggo that they would do it when they got there. Come to find out, they took down my entire fence without contacting us to get permission. When I came home, I saw the crew piecing my fence back together. My rose bushes were tied to the piping on the side of my house. There was absolutely no respect for my property whatsoever. On top of that, no one on the job site could tell me what was to happen next and if the crew was going to show up the next day. The topping on the cake was that Riggo was not on site to supervise as he had claimed in his sales pitch. Fast forward and the patio is done and guess what, the first phone call I get from King Koncrete and Riggo is to ask for final payment. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the headache. If price is the only thing that matters and you aren't concerned with respect for your time and your property, then by all means.

Our home was new construction and this was the second time we have hired Rigo and King Koncrete. He had previously put in a stamp cement patio at our previous home. Their workmanship and quality are outstanding. Rigo is friendly, creative and very professional. His staff showed up on time and they worked until the job was completed. This project was scheduled to take about 2 weeks and they stayed within a day or two of that schedule - the delay was caused by heavy rain. There was attention to detail, the staining and stone work was done neatly and the end result is that we have a beautiful outdoor living space. The built-in lighting around our sitting wall and fire pit, along the stairs and along the deck make the space just as livable at night as it is during the day. We feel that Rigo and his staff can be trusted they worked within our budget and they did not exceed it. We are very pleased with our outdoor living space and highly recommend King Koncrete.
