I've used JF Electrical for multiple jobs, from adding a dedicated circuit for my computer to (in this case) rewiring an entire room. They're prompt, honest, friendly, and highly skilled. Their prices are competitive and they're good at explaining options. They're also experienced with both historic and modern houses; I've now used them in both.

Explained the problem, a circuit was completely knocked out when I plugged in a vacuum. I asked for a service call since I had no idea where the problem might be located. They arranged their schedule for a service call, responded back in 20 minutes, and showed up within three hours. Their technician showed up on time, asked the right questions, and then found a defective wall outlet at the beginning of a circuit run (where I would never have guess t here was a problem). He explained what happened, showed me the damage to the outlet, replaced it, and was finished within about 35 minutes. I was impressed.
I have also used JF Electrical three other times including complete design and wiring of an outdoor workshop. They are reasonable in price, have well trained personnel, and do great work. I highly recommend. They know what they're doing.

It was a very good experience, and I appreciated their honesty. They didn't try to sell unnecessary services, and they actually talked me out of using them for part of the work because it wouldn't have been cost-effective.

Showed up promptly at the arranged time to inspect the job and provide an estimate. Very professional and courteous . Had the estimate back to us that same day. Scheduled a start date and time. Workman showed up on time and ready to start. Had all necessary equipment, tools, wiring and parts to do the job. It was obvious that the workman had been briefed on the job and understood what was required. Finished the job in a reasonable time with no problems and no delays. Interfaced well with other workmen doing the tub installation. Excellent job at a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend them and will call them again for any future electrical work.

The owner personally came out and gave the estimate and he spent almost two hours looking and going through everything. The price was okay. They were very casual and I liked that but not professional. I would rate them high overall and would use them again in the future if needed.
