Not well. The shower is on an upstairs floor and leaked through the ceiling after only 4 months. During installation the floor tile had to be chipped out several times due to not draining properly and the floor tile was laid crooked. Some was left with jagged edge. Numerous problems with faucet hookup and grout. Did not use bull nose trim (as was on the original shower) as was discussed, but used cheap vinyl strips for trim and did not inform me of the change. One strip was patched together, but would not replace after numerous requests. Floor tile was damaged during demolition and replaced with wall shower tile. Very tacky. Would not respond to most of my e-mails after problems and Stu reneged on written warranty and only sent it after I said I would take it up with the Better Business Bureau if he did not.. Very stressful and disappointing for the money I paid to have a nice shower, and I don't know if I may have more problems due to number of times the floor was ripped up. Photos are of shower after 4 months.
Response from

"There was one issue when the shower was completed with the water not draining fully in one spot, which we returned and corrected as we always will if an issue arises. According to the customer herself upon seeing the completed project, everything looked very nice, we just needed to address the spot that wasn't draining properly. There never were any issues with the faucet hookup or grout, they are and have been fine all along. The issue with the bullnose tile was due to the customer not buying it. The pictures shown are during the process, not the finished product, which is very misleading. She talked me down from my original price before starting, then refused to give a deposit, which is standard procedure. She said she would buy the tile and we told her the options regarding bullnose. She didn't buy bullnose, so we purchased the Schluter trim strips made specifically for that purpose, which are very common. I had stopped corresponding with her due to her awful behavior and attitude. I specifically emailed her to let her know I would only be corresponding with the tenants from that point on, due to her behavior. The tenants actually apologized profusely for her behavior and were embarrassed by it. They were a pleasure to work with, unfortunately the property owner was not. Yes, there was an issue that was ours to fix and we fixed it. I also left another $300 off of the final bill. None of the other items were ever mentioned until after that was addressed. Occasionally, as human beings, issues arise and we will always address them, as we did here. Almost everyone we deal with is wonderful and knows the pride we take in our work. When something arises, we can address it as mature adults and there are no problems. Unfortunately, that was not the case with this customer, which is regrettable. This is only the second time we've ever had a bad experience with a customer in five years. I suppose we should've referred her to someone else as soon as she began to ask for lower prices and refused a deposit - that was a sign of things to come."

He responded and came out to the house on the agreed upon day/time to review the scope of work but never provided an estimate. I spoke to him on the phone and he told me what needed to be done and said he would email an estimate. A week later I had not heard so I texted to ask for the quote - no response. I texted a couple days later to ask if I could still expect to receive a quote - no response. I find this type of business practice to be very unprofessional. Perhaps the job was too small or he was not interested in performing the work. This is fine by me but be honest and direct with the customer so I could have not wasted my time and called another company sooner.

Stu and his crew are FABULOUS! We started talking to Stu back in October 2016. From day one, Stu was excellent in communicating with us. He spent a lot of time making sure he understood what it was that we wanted and was very patient while we budgeted for the job. We had him install the electronic dog door in November which entailed cutting siding and drywall as well as moving an electrical outlet. The job was amazing! In January, we had him out to replace the vent-hood in the kitchen. The hood originally vented through a side wall with an ugly hose going across the cabinets. Stu researched the county codes and determined he could vent the exhaust differently and was able to remove the ugly hose. Talk about a happy camper! The house renovations began in late February, this was not a small job by any means. Stu and crew were at the house, on time, every day and worked hard for a solid three weeks. The quality of work is EXCEPTIONAL! We are beyond thrilled with how everything turned out. Professional work by professional people! I can't say enough good things. In fact, Stu is already working on our next list of renovation items. We look forward to working with him again!

Jack of All Trades replaced all the insulation, drywall and trim molding. They also repainted. We were very impressed how they were able to fix the drywall and you can't tell where the seams are. Looks better than new. Since they did such great work we had them fix/repair the 3 gates on our exterior fences and they replaced all the metal hardware and wood as needed. The gates finally work perfect. We are now making an ongoing list of repairs that we would like done as funds become available. It's a great feeling knowing you found the right company/person that you can trust and does a great job.  We also thought the rates were very reasonable.
