"There was one issue when the shower was completed with the water not draining fully in one spot, which we returned and corrected as we always will if an issue arises. According to the customer herself upon seeing the completed project, everything looked very nice, we just needed to address the spot that wasn't draining properly. There never were any issues with the faucet hookup or grout, they are and have been fine all along. The issue with the bullnose tile was due to the customer not buying it. The pictures shown are during the process, not the finished product, which is very misleading. She talked me down from my original price before starting, then refused to give a deposit, which is standard procedure. She said she would buy the tile and we told her the options regarding bullnose. She didn't buy bullnose, so we purchased the Schluter trim strips made specifically for that purpose, which are very common. I had stopped corresponding with her due to her awful behavior and attitude. I specifically emailed her to let her know I would only be corresponding with the tenants from that point on, due to her behavior. The tenants actually apologized profusely for her behavior and were embarrassed by it. They were a pleasure to work with, unfortunately the property owner was not. Yes, there was an issue that was ours to fix and we fixed it. I also left another $300 off of the final bill. None of the other items were ever mentioned until after that was addressed. Occasionally, as human beings, issues arise and we will always address them, as we did here. Almost everyone we deal with is wonderful and knows the pride we take in our work. When something arises, we can address it as mature adults and there are no problems. Unfortunately, that was not the case with this customer, which is regrettable. This is only the second time we've ever had a bad experience with a customer in five years. I suppose we should've referred her to someone else as soon as she began to ask for lower prices and refused a deposit - that was a sign of things to come."
Jack of All Trades replaced all the insulation, drywall and trim molding. They also repainted. We were very impressed how they were able to fix the drywall and you can't tell where the seams are. Looks better than new. Since they did such great work we had them fix/repair the 3 gates on our exterior fences and they replaced all the metal hardware and wood as needed. The gates finally work perfect. We are now making an ongoing list of repairs that we would like done as funds become available. It's a great feeling knowing you found the right company/person that you can trust and does a great job. We also thought the rates were very reasonable.
