We offer all phases of mechanical services for automotive needs to include diesel truck repairs and general gasoline truck,car and hybrid vehicle repairs. Duramax diesel specialist. Former General motors master tech and ase master tech. c-3 c-4 c-5 and c-6 corvette certified through general motors. Ford factory trained on the powerstroke diesel engine also. Virginia safety inspection station #8524. We also sell all brands of tires. Due to high volume of work we are unable to schedule WAIT REPAIRS fell free to arrange to dropping off of the vehicle for any repairs. We won't hire just anybody to get the job done resulting in such low staff members. Sorry for any inconvenience.

We've used Hometowne Garage many times since we've lived near Fredericksburg. Most recently we got a second opinion on work that needed to be done and had the work completed at Hometowne. Joe and staff are always friendly and helpful. The work is done well and at a much better price than the last place we were taking our vehicles. We're very happy with Hometowne Garage!

Very well. I found Joe to be open and honest in assessment of work to be performed. He also let me know the front sway bar link parts were fine and just needed to be tightened to pass inspection. Since Hometowne is a smaller garage, you need to be prepared to drop off the car and not have it for a day or two. The work quality is top notch and Joe is straightforward and honest.

We found Hometowne Garage on Angie's List when we moved to Fredericksburg in April of this year. We have a total of five older cars and have had every one of them in for service since April. Joe has always been fair and honest with his estimates and has made suggestions to save us money when feasible. His prices have been comparable to work we have had done elsewhere. We feel very fortunate to have found such an honest repairman on our first try! Another plus is Joe seems to remember us when we call, even though we are new to the area. He really does make it feel like a "hometown" garage! We would recommend Joe and Hometowne Garage to everyone. This is the place to go if you're looking for an honest, reliable mechanic.

I was given the name Hometowne Garage by a service member at Radley Chevrolet in Fredericksburg, which is where I bought the car.I came to Angies List to see if they were on here and yes they were. I called but they were closed. So I sent an email to the shop and they answered it. And then called me first thing the next morning. I spoke to the owner who was very nice and he said see you later this afternoon. I had a friend meet me there and we went off to lunch after I dropped my car off. No sooner did we sit down to look at the menu, my phone rang and it was the owner, my car was ready when we were done with lunch. We ate, went back and he would not take a penny for his efforts !!! THANK YOU HOMETOWNE GARAGE !!! I will send all my friends to you ... You saved my life !!!

I left Joe a note with all the specifics of what I wanted done, He called me in the morning (we used the night drop) confirmed the work and made some recommendations and then quoted me a price for the work. The car was done that evening and my wife noted immediately that the car was running smoother and the brakes were noticeably smoother. The price was exactly as Joe had quoted and I was extremely happy with the work that was done, his professional advice and condition of the vehicle on pick up. His shop has earned my future business.

Joe was very helpful and I felt that he gave me honest advice regarding the best options for my car for the money. I had a quote from another place for two tires and rear brake pads for close to $700. I was able to get 4 new tires and rear brake pads for a little over $500. Plus Joe re-inspected my vehicle so I wouldn't have to take it back to the overpriced auto place that failed me in the first place. Highly recommend.

Joe explained how bad the current brakes were and why they were making noise. He explained why all the parts needed to be replaced. From prior knowledge on this car I knew his price was better than I have experienced before with other shops. After I picked it up I returned because I was still hearing one of the noises. He got in the car with me and immediately diagnosed that problem being not with the brakes, but with a hub cap, which he immediately fixed . Joe is the kind of guy that will diagnose and fix things without throwing a lot of unnecessary parts at the problem.

Hometown Garage replaced the water pump on my 2005 Chevy Silverado Duramax Diesel engine in February of 2012. It started leaking in June. They replaced the water pump and performed all labor under their 12 month warranty without even having to ask. Once they identified the leak, they told me it was covered under warranty; I didn't even have to ask if it was covered.
