Best experience I've ever had with contractors from design through completion. Every step thoroughly explained..all question answered and it felt like we were all participating in a real team effort. This job turned my son's basement into a real home for me. I sold my house and ended up under a timing issue...they worked hard to get it done AHEAD OF SCHEDULE!!! This is unheard of in my experience and totally appreciated. They accommodated every request and the quality of the work was excellent. Would definitely hire again.

We received a flyer in the mail from Hivex Basements and after our free consultation decided to hire them to finish our basement. We are very happy we did. Our project manager, Chris, was awesome. He walked us through each step and wrote notes on the basement floor in red magic marker for his various work crews. Each work crew was very friendly and professional. Chris went shopping with me for things such as flooring, bathroom fixtures, etc. I really appreciated his knowledge and advice regarding things I was selecting. The basement is beautiful and I have aleady told three neighbors about them.

The work went very well. The only schedule interruptions were not the fault of the HIVEX. They were very kind and patient as we worked through other infrastructure problems that were discovered during early stages of their work. When they were able to get back to work, they did so quickly and performed wonderfully. The cost was as estimated. The quality is great. I highly recommeng them and would hire them again and again.

From the first visit with Dan Betts, owner, to explore what could be done, to the final punch out visit from Bob Salo, the production manager for my project, and every visit in between, the work was timely, professional, clean, and high quality. The team took great pride in their work and it showed. Before beginning the work, they even took my piles of junk to the dump and Goodwill (as i designated). They took steps to prevent construction dust from entering other parts of the house and left the basement clean and beautiful when they left. The team worked closely with me from the beginning to make sure that the final project was going to be exactly what I wanted. The problem was, I wasn’t sure what I wanted, and had to figure some of it out along the way. They were patient with my decision making process and accommodated my wishes without complaint. They were also incredibly flexible. I decided that I wanted to include a prefabricated sauna in my project. All seemed to go well, until production delays from the supplier led to a lengthy delivery delay. I worried that this would slow down the project, but Hivex worked around my supplier’s delays by shifting gears and completing other parts of the project while we waited. Because they use employees rather than subcontractors, they are able to quickly adjust the schedule and get teams out to keep the work moving. Despite my supplier’s delay, they were still able to complete the project within the estimated 12 week period (even including the November and December holidays). They truly work like a well-oiled machine. During the entire project, Bob and the team made clear that they wanted me to be happy with the result, and happy I was! One note— they don’t do painting or flooring (other than small tile jobs), which I lamented because they did so well in everything else, I wanted to use them for everything. However, I appreciated that they know what they are good at and stick with that, rather than trying to do everything passably well. They are experts in the things they do. My family spends all of our time in the basement now. We love it and I am so grateful that the experience of getting there was so smooth.

Hivex provided exactly what they said they would provide at exactly the price they quoted. It was the best hire I've ever had. They are very professional, extremely courteous, always on time and the easiest people to talk with. My only regret is that I have only one basement. But I couldn't be happier with the service and if you're looking to finish your basement, you need to at least give them a call.

Hivex did a wonderful job in finishing our basement. We are very pleased with the work and the value that they added. Hivex also worked with us in a couple of unique features that we wanted. They installed some under-stair shelving and a beautiful marble shower. The owners and employees were great to work with and very professional. They did their best to ensure we were happy with the work. I wish I had another basement to finish so I could hire Hivex again.

5 stars. So we put out several bids for getting our basement remodeled from bare bones into living space, and Hivex was the most professional in all aspects, from the proposal, to the install work, to the finishing touches (they didn't paint so we did that ourselves). I have nothing but praise for the job they did. It was on time, in scope and on budget totally, their PM (Bob S) was superb and the guys all very respectful, professional and prompt. Hivex drew up the plans, pulled all the permits, and worked out all the inspections with the inspector (looks like everything passed, to me!!). They even had a couple of ideas I had never thought of, that made it all the better, also at no extra cost btw!! I'd recommend them highly for anyone looking to remodel their basement!

Overall Great! We had to switch project supervisors right after the job began so there was some confusion at the start. But they did an amazing job and their price was much lower than then others we spoke to. I was able to text and email my project supervisor during the week with questions which was helpful. Basement looks great and they got it done early. I would highly recommend!

HIVEX was a pleasure to work with. They were professional, overly communicative, and the results were amazing and completed quickly. This was a 1,200 sq ft finishing of a concrete basement. I had 7 companies give estimates and HIVEX provided the design I wanted, with the best price. I am hesitant to have any contractors on my property to do any work, but I 100% recommend HIVEX. Little touches like crews cleaning up at the end of every day, emails describing and prepping for each job phase, and on-the-spot changes set them apart. I even asked if they were willing to contract a renovation job in my master bathroom but they declined stating they only do basements. I respect that in a company, and it shows from the outstanding outcome I received.
