Dee Bee was professional and did an outstanding job. They took every step to keep my home clean during the process and kept me informed of all details. I would hire them again.

Started with a phone call to ask for an estimate and scheduling the free estimate visit was easy, we took bids from a few places, the owner came out and walked through the basement, listened to what we were looking for, offered some input, gave us our quote (was 12,000 less than one and slightly less than a second bid) and we didn't feel pressured during his visit, there was no pressure to make a decision on picking them. He was clear about the timeline from when we made our choice to use them to when the work would start and about the approximate completion. Came out again with a designer to do an official drawing of the floor plan and take measurements and they were great about listening to what we wanted and offered solutions to some of the unique qualities of the space. They offered to help empty out the basement. They were clear on the timeline and got paid as the milestones were reached. They were as clean as I could expect. Our house stayed secure as the construction area was locked from the upstairs and they brought workers and equipment through the escape window. They followed up to ensure we were clear on what was happening and were good about changes as we were going through the construction. They walked through it with us multiple times to ensure we were ok with the quality of the work as it progressed. They let us pick all our equipment (appliances, hardware, shower door) not from a list of approved items but from wherever we wanted and they installed it all. Finished it on time.

The team was very professional and helped us out at every phase of the process. From the very beginning, when Dan came out to see us, and all throughout the process, we were always given accurate and detailed information. They helped us plan and gave us suggestions when we weren't sure about where we were headed in the project. The team cleaned up after themselves during every phase of the project. The project managers, Chris and Heath, were always accessible and answered phone calls and emails promptly. They accommodated us whenever we changed and added on things to the project itself. There was never a discrepancy or misinformation about our contract or any additional costs. Abel, who headed up the framing team, even discovered a crack in our structural wall, which had let in moisture. Luckily for him, we were able to get it fixed and go ahead with our project. The best part of using Dee Bee Construction was that they have really high standards and it showed with every member of their team. If we weren't happy with how something looked, they were happy to change it. The project was divided into phases, first the framing, electrical, plumbing, and drywall. Each phase was completed in the timeframe they had said, even when we added in things like soundproofing the ceiling. We would highly recommend Dee Bee Construction if you are planning to finish your basement.

The staff at Dee Bee Home Improvements were great to work with. They made this home improvement process go as smooth as possible. The staff kept me updated on all phases of the project, they started when they said they would and finished on time. I would highly recommend this company to all.

It went really well over all. Contractors were always on time, polite, and did a great job. They made sure everything was done to our liking. There were minor communication mishaps here and there as expected when so many people have to coordinate, but all that matters is that everything was done right in the end and they made sure we were happy. The work is quality because they have many awesome people that are great at specific trades working to make a beautiful basement space. I would highly recommend them to everyone looking for an honest, hard-working team of professionals!

We were looking to finish our basement and add a half bath this summer and after looking on the website and multiple reviews, we knew we wanted to get a quote from Dee Bee. From our first interaction at the walk through, things went really smooth while they took the time to find out what were looking for. The quote and time frame worked perfect for us and we knew we would be in good hands for the entire process. All the workers were extremely friendly and respectful of our house which we are very grateful for! I couldn't speak more highly of Heath and Chris, as they were there for us every step of the way answering any questions that had come up. They wanted to make sure that the basement would match the rest of our house paying close attention to detail such as making sure the door handles matched what we had throughout. The bathroom looks amazing as they put up our fixtures and placed the tile on the floor! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to finish their basement!

Dee Bee was as good a contractor as we have ever worked with. The entire project was projected to take six weeks, which we thought was a little ambitious, however, when all was said and done, it fell between six and seven weeks, and we couldn't be happier. 1. Fast, courteous, friendly and all good craftsmen of their trades. 2. We had framers, electricians, plumbers, drywall installers, trim installers, and an excellent tile guy. Everyone seemed to be on the same page. The punch list person, Scott, did an excellent job with the finish details that were left hanging near the end. Everything we asked for, they delivered on. 3. Can't say enough good things about Heath and Chris. They were there to keep the job moving, and took excellent care of the few small issues that could have derailed a less competent crew. 4. We now have a space that probably just increased the value of our home well beyond the price we paid for the remodel, judging from two comps in the neighborhood on the same floor plan, and with the addition of a downstairs bed and bath.

Dee Bee is a good company to work with. Their price was really good for what we wanted done (rec room, office, bedroom, and bathroom). However, there are parts of the job they seem to prefer not to do such as flooring and painting. This was fine with me. The work was done well and within the timeframe we talked about except for one issue with grout in the bathroom which was pretty unique but took a little while to get corrected. Everyone that came out was very nice and courteous. They are very willing to do custom work. The only part that I would have liked is a little better communication on when people were coming out to perform work, especially at the end with a few items that needed to be corrected. Overall I was happy with working with them.

Excellent quality and value! Dee Bee makes it easy. They operate within a well established system. By retaining their own staff of highly skilled professionals in each of the trades (framing, electrical, mechanical, drywall, plumbing, trim carpentry/cabinet installation), Dee Bee delivers very high quality at a very competitive price. They specialize in basement finishing and it shows. If you are willing to take on a little design and coordination for floors, cabinets, and countertops, you will not find a better contractor for finishing a basement.

The work was generally performed in a timely manner and started according to the agreed on schedule. Most of the workers are employees of the company and I found them to be friendly and helpful. Initially I needed help with the layout and Chris, the on-site supervisor, was helpful and offered good suggestions. He made a trip with me to Home Depot to look at bathroom fixtures and introduced me to a very helpful designer who they have worked with for a number of years. The first day of the project the workers moved my furniture which was in the basement to the storage areas but I had to pay them to move it back in place. One problem I had was related to the French Doors which separate one living area from another. I asked for 6 foot wide doors and Chris must not have written it down because they installed 5 foot doors. I asked for it to be changed which was not a problem but I had to pay extra for wider doors. The owner of the company, Dan Betts, was quite friendly and helpful on his two visits here prior to the work beginning. However, I never saw him again and would have liked for him to come by at the end of the project to see the finished basement and to thank me for my business. A company employee who handles customer relations has been helpful and came by several times but I still would have liked to see the owner.

The entire Dee Bee experience was a positive one. The supervisors came by and gave us a quote. They were not the lowest price out of the 9 contractors we requested estimates from, but they were the best deal. I wanted to have the permits pulled by the contractor, they said of course. We wanted some custom work with the framing, they said no problem. We have 12 foot ceilings, they said they were ready and able to address this. The framing crew did a great job. They were clean and if they wanted to start early or finish late they asked permission first. The company replaced locks on the access points into the basement and then put in a lockbox so the workers could access the work site but not our house. I appreciate this extra added security buffer. I can say after meeting every person on each crew that the extra security was not necessary. All of Dee Bee?s guys were polite and courteous, never a concern. Dee Bee also used their own guys, they didn?t sub out the work. The job looks great and they were done almost three weeks early. Quoted 6-8 weeks because of the height of the ceilings but done in about 5 weeks. I highly recommend these guys.

Quality of work was good and workers were professional about the way they did their specific jobs. Slight draw back was the size of the shower put in the bathroom, could have been a little larger.

We are extremely happy with our finished basement, and we highly recommend Dee Bee to anyone looking for a contractor who specializes in basement refinishing. After deciding that we wanted to finish our basement, we contacted three different companies to receive bids. Dan spent over two hours at our house for the initial meeting, and we discussed many different options for design layouts depending on how we were going to use the space. The quote we received from Dee Bee was one of the lowest, and it was an easy decision for us to choose them as our contractor. Dee Bee is a large company, but they still manage to provide superior individualized service. Sometimes with a small company, you find the same person will do your plumbing, electric and drywall, or they may subcontract these items out to other contractors and just serve as the middleman while employees from another company are coming to your house. Dee Bee employs all their workers directly, so they have a specialized team for each step of the project. Their framers only do framing, and they are experts at what they do. The same goes for their plumbers, electricians, etc. Everyone is an expert in their field, and they are employed directly through Dee Bee. It's the best of both worlds. All of Dee Bee's employees are extremely courteous and professional, and they go out of their way to provide great customer service. The first day Mike showed up, he realized I didn't have some of the bathroom fixtures I needed, so he went to Lowes with me to pick them out and bring them back in his truck. When I couldn't fit a countertop into my van, Chris sent someone to Lowes to pick it up for us. I think that with any large scale construction project, there are going to be a few glitches along the way. On day one we realized that our bulkhead may interfere with a door, we also decided we wanted to redesign the bathroom, and the biggest problem of all was that the main power line to our house needed to be re-routed around our egress window. I think this is when you see the true colors of your contractor. Dee Bee used this as an opportunity to show how they really excel at customer service. The sentiment was always, how can we fix this to make you happy, and nothing was ever used as an opportunity to charge us additional fees. They redesigned the bathroom to add an entry door and a closet (no additional charge), and the framers were able to work some magic around the bulkhead so I didn't have to move my bedroom door. We had to put the project on hold for a month while we worked with Dominion to re-route our power lines. Chris was great about putting our project on hold for that, and then he had his workers back in our basement two days after I told him that dominion had completed their work. I highly recommend Dee Bee. They are a great company to work with, and the quality of their work is exceptional! We are very happy with our new basement!

They were extremely responsive, flexible and professional.

From start to finish, Dee Bee was outstanding. I have nothing but rave commentary about the entire company. From the first meeting with the owner who did the estimate and went through all the details of what would be covered in the job, to the end when they sent someone out on very short notice to help get our granite supports up to meet a deadline, DeeBee came through each and every time. We had an unexpected hot water heater issue in the middle of the job and DeeBee sent their crew out to help us out remedy the issue even when the issue was not related to their job. The project manager is terrific and went above and beyond making sure his crew was taking care of details at every turn. The crews are professional, talented and very efficient in what they do. The framing team, the drywall team, the electricians, plumbers, finishing crews and management are all TOP NOTCH. I'm an incredibly high maintenance client and my expectations were exceeded at every stage of the project. They pay attention to detail and we loved that the entire crew works for Dee Bee. We didn't deal with subcontractors except for those we hired for flooring and cabinetry and it was SO easy knowing that if I had questions or concerns, I could touch base with the project manager and he fielded the concern to the appropriate crew so I didn't have to deal with it or be the "middle man" ever. It was a HUGE piece of mind knowing that I could just reach out to one person and get whatever answers I needed. Additionally their office crew was wonderful as well. Returning emails and phone calls very quickly when I had issues with a bank account in the beginning of our project. I hired an outside painting crew and that's the only thing I would have changed~ in hind sight, I wish I had gone with the painting contract with Dee Bee. In all honesty, I COULD NOT have done even half of what they did for us on my own. Every detail was attended to and I had MANY details (I mentioned high maintenance). I hope to be in this house for a good long time but if I ever need another basement project handled, Dee Bee will be the first call I make. We had other estimates, all of which came in higher and not one gave us half the presentation and committment from the start that Dee Bee did. Look no further~ these guys are the absolute best. From the first on time meeting and estimate to the final inspection of our amazing basement, this team gets the job done right!

If we asked for something additional, there was never a problem as long as it was not too late to be completed. We are very pleased with them and have recommended them to others, one of which has already signed a contract to begin their reno. We couldn't be more pleased. It's stunning!

DeeBee Construction was the best! We wanted to finish our 3200 sq ft basement to match the rest of our home. They completely designed the layout, to include three bathrooms, a bar, office, complete kitchen with island, and other rooms. Their attention to detail was amazing. They were on schedule, on price, and great people to work with.

The work speaks for itself. Our basement is beautiful! We sat with the owner Dan Bates & Chris McNally, to complete our contact May 2015, & it was truth from start to finish. No surprises, no lies, no excuse, no hidden fees. The project was given an 8 week estimate completion date and they stayed on schedule. I am very, very particular about my home, and cleanness. They clean as they work and the entire team made sure we were satisfied with the completion of our basement. Our construction started Jun 10- Aug 11, 2015 and we are grateful to have chosen them for this project. Thank you DeeBees!!!

The remodel was painless. They install the easement window on day one. Then they add a new lock on the basement door, give you the keys and from then on they climb in through the easement window. I could leave the house, lock the basement door and feel secure. They were surprisingly quiet. Always responsive. The work was done in 6 weeks! Flooring other than the bathroom is not done by DeeBee. The homeowner takes care of this. The price was very fair and the work was excellent.

Dan Betts of DeeBee construction came to our house, discussed our vision for the basement design, and left a book showing some of their past work. A few days later, they provided a proposal meeting all of our requirements, and priced better than the other bids we had received. While we have received many compliments from visitors to our new entertainment space, the great work and excellent pricing of DeeBee do not begin to express our confidence in this company. It is almost impossible to provide sufficient detail in a contract to cover every eventuality. As the design progressed, additional thoughts were generated as tweaks to what had been originally proposed and agreed upon. Dan, and his project manager Chris, were extremely easy to work with on these changes. Some companies, based on our past experience, would use such an opportunity to make a much greater profit, because we would have been at the point where they no longer needed to compete on price. DeeBee instead worked with us to make reasonable accommodation of changes, whether that was wiring speakers through the walls, adding wiring for additional decorative lighting, providing credits for changes to flooring, etc. Knowing that I was working with a company that would work with me to make fair adjustments to the original contract as the need for change was identified was very comforting. As a final example, the county inspector required a smoke detector to be wired into the wiring in the main floor. This required cutting holes in the main floor wall, and then patching and repainting. Some contractors would have claimed this was new work and not covered by the existing contract. DeeBee did not. They did the wiring and patching job, and the refinished area is as good as new. While their prices are excellent based on the bids we received, their great customer responsiveness is not something we could have foreseen or put a price on. We definitely recommend them.

Everything went according to plan. If you're looking to have your basement finished you won't find anyone that can beat the price or professionalism of Dee Bee's. We were very satisfied with the communication, quality of work and the trusting relationship we desired from someone coming in to our home to complete a project. They finished on time and on budget. We couldn't have asked for anything more....thank you!
