When the employee showed up to get an idea of the job, he came around back and looked at the broken fixture and pretty quickly figured out what it would take. He also asked if I wanted him to add the LED bulbs to the quote or if I'd provide the bulbs. It's a minor point, but I really appreciate the flexibility.
They promptly showed up, asked for the lightbulbs I wanted to use, and go to work. Within an hour, everything was done and a very reasonable invoice was presented.

A team of three arrived promptly at approximately 8 a.m. (Bill, Matthew & Mike).  They worked independently for some of the time but worked as a team when necessary.  They found things that were not to code and fixed them and made all repairs/changes possible.  They were extremely good-natured and personable as well as professional.

First Class Electrical has been servicing my Generac generator for several years now. They are always professional, friendly, and efficient. Last Friday afternoon I saw that the red light was on, which means that the generator is not working. I called in a panic because I knew we were headed into a holiday weekend and some bad weather was predicted. That same evening the owner Matt was here making the quick fix necessary to put me back in business with a working generator. (It turned out to be a relatively simple problem caused by a Generac self-test that Matt made certain would not happen again) This was very kind, prompt, and personal service.

We did not use this company. Although they were able to come out to look at what we wanted (i.e. generator) and the first contact was professional and informative, this is where the cooperation ended. When did not hear back from them on an estimate after a week, we called. The gentleman who answered was defensive saying that they were a month behind on giving estimates. Huh? We knew we would need to wait to get the generator installed, but how can it take actually a month for just the estimate. Several days later we received a very brief estimate still noting that they are 1 month behind on giving estimates.
Needless to say, we were able to get 3 estimates from other competitors within several days of them coming out to see the set up and what was needed. All noting that it was take a month for actual installation.

We had an existing fluorescent light fixture in our kitchen removed and replaced with 7 new LED recessed lights, converted 2 existing recessed kitchen lights to LED recessed lights, added dimmers, and replaced 4 outside lights by the door and garage (supplied our own 4 lights). We had called on this company 3 years ago to reposition an outside outlet and were quite satisfied with the work performed (which entailed removing and replacing siding), so based on this prior experience and additional research (BBB, etc) decided to select them for this work after comparing an estimate with another company (one other company come to our house, said they would shortly provide an estimate but never did). During the free, unhurried estimate visit, we received welcome, thoughtful, knowledgeable ceiling layout and light positioning advice and counsel from the estimator. He also provided informative tech info about LED lights. The crew, which included the highly knowledgeable and helpful estimator, arrived on time on the stated day. All work, to include patching, was performed in a highly competent, professional, helpful and friendly manner. After reading about the pitfalls of cheap, poor quality LED lights, I had called the owner Ms. Tate to make sure the LED's we were to receive would be of brand name, high quality - they were. Our kitchen lighting is now significantly brighter over the entire kitchen; and with more versatile, cost-saving lighting to boot (only over the sink area/only over the island/over the entire kitchen, etc). In sum, based on two highly satisfying experiences, my wife and I highly recommend First Class Electrical of Fredericksburg VA.

The Job looks professional and we have not had a single problem with the Generator. Matthew walked us through the how to's and made sure we understood the unit before he left.
