Costco's management, Jeff, provided outstanding customer service to resolve some initial issues. I'm a loyal Costco customer and investor in its marketing concept.

DoorPro was easy to schedule and they arrived well within their hour pre-notice schedule.  The installer was great and really knew his task; had been installing doors for 39 years.  He was extremely efficient and moved the couple of items he needed to -- very, very knowledgeable.

The job was completed in a little over one hour.  He ran into some difficulty because as he was removing the old door, quite literally, the old mounting mechanism collapsed.  He was just in time.  I had been experiencing a loud noise when opening the door and had gotten two services from Angies List to adjust the door but still the sound came back.  That is what convinced me to change the door entirely - that and its being insulated -- I was for once ahead of the curve because that sound was the forewarning that the whole door mechanism, wood mounting and all, was going to fail.  Quite literally, that door probably gets the most use of any mechanical device in the home and is used as the only ingress/egress point because the garage is built into the house.  Using it avoids all outside weather which has been a blessing this and last Winter.

Everything was replaced to its original position in the garage -- and the area was broom clean.  The installer then explained how the door operated and showed me how to perform PM on it annually to assure years of good, uninterrupted service.

I want to first say that the actual Doorpro installers were great and I felt badly that they were working for such a poorly managed company. Also the garage doors look great, function fine, and are very quiet. But, the administrative staff are completely inefficient and unprofessional. My invoice was clearly written by the Doorpro sales representative. That invoice was entered into their computer system and then a "ticket" issued to the installer. The ticket had incomplete information so the installer did not show up the first time with the new lifts purchased, just the doors. The installation had to be rescheduled and they didn't show up on the rescheduled day because the administrative staff had scheduled it for the same day a month later. Therefore, the installation was again rescheduled. I particularly asked that the installer come in the afternoon because I had Thanksgiving shopping to do in the morning. So of course he arrived in the morning and I'm getting a call from the administrative staff while I'm in the checkout line of a grocery. Fortunately the installer waited until I could return home, but both he and the original installer said that they were going to lose money because of the poorly managed company. This is a Costco subcontractor and the first time I've used a Costco service provider. I will definately think twice before using another Costco service provider.
