We had used them just before to check our sump pump. They came so fast. They were just wonderful. We were able to get to them right away and they are local. They are a family business and the father and son came out this time even though they didn't need to. You can ask them any questions, they go into real details on what they are doing. They have the equipment available, it is not like they have to go and come back in different trips. They are punctual and have all the equipment ready. They work with our schedule.

Our sewer sump pump alarm came on on Thurs night. We investigated and noticed that the sump pump was not running. We doubled checked the breaker panel -- nothing had been tripped. So we turned off the alarm, went back to sleep with the intent of looking for plumbers on Angie's List to help us resolve this problem. I contacted David Plumbing & Heating, Inc. at 0800 Fri morning. I told the woman on the phone of my scenario who took my phone number and said a technician would call me back. I told her that I was taking my husband to a Cardiology appointment later that morning (he was scheduled to have open heart surgery in a couple of days) and needed to try and talk to the technician before 0930. She understood the urgency and said someone would call before 0930. True to her word, someone called at 0830 and told us to call him back when we returned from our appointment. Our appointment lasted longer than we anticipated, which also involved a trip to the hospital for some lab work. When we finally got back home and called him back (about 1300 hrs) he said he would be at our house in a couple of hours. He (Dennis the technician) arrived at 1500 hrs and almost immediately found the problem in the sump pump. Something had gotten the float ball stuck (probably toilet paper in the effluent), which triggered the water not refill in the sump pump tank, which in turn trigger the alarm that there was no water (or it was at a low level) in the sump pump. He didn't even have to take the lid off the tank. He was done within 30 minutes. But he checked everything out, flushed the toilets, ran water, etc., several times to make sure the system was turning on and that the tank was filling up to its correct level. Dennis was professional, knew his trade well, was very polite and even liked our dog! I really appreciated the fact that Dennis was able to come to our house almost at a moment's notice, especially on a Friday and the beginning of a 3-day Memorial Day weekend. The cost was nominal, but Dennis providing so much satisfaction and ease to a potential problem. Kudos to Davis Plumbing in Fredericksburg, I would use them again in a heartbeat.

On Friday morning at 9am, I got a call from the tenant in my rental in downtown Fredericksburg that her upstairs toilet wasn't working. She'd tried plunging it, but without success. She said her house was starting to stink and asked for us to get someone over their immediately. I checked Angie's list for a vendor with an A rating and found Davis Plumbing and Heating. I called and by 10am, Sean met me at the door to my rental property. WITHIN AN HOUR. When I remarked at how amazed I was at their response time, Sean said they try to come as soon as possible and of course, sometimes if they have appointments scheduled, it takes longer - but he was glad to be able to come as soon as he could. He told me theirs was a family owned business and I really liked that. He told me I talked to his Grandma, Pat, when I called to make the appointment.
Within in seconds, he snaked all the way down our pipes to the mainline and pulled up wads of wipes. Sure enough, their on the back of our toilet, was a container of wipes that our tenant had been flushing. Sean said they respond to a lot of backed up toilets for wipes. He made sure to get them all and tested our toilet with regular toilet tissue several times to make sure it was working. He cleaned up all drops of water and any mess and left the bathroom as clean as he found it.
For years, we've used a hodge podge of plumbers for our rental property (and our own house) - we'll be sure to call Davis from now on!

They're just very reasonable, they're cordial and they follow up. They have to come back to redo something and they're very accommodating to the customer. They’re not there for the money but for the customer.

Our hot water heater busted today and created a huge mess. We called Davis Plumbing at 1:30pm and spoke with Dennis. After we explained the problem, he asked a few questions (i.e., size/dimensions of current hot water heater, type of space, etc.) He gave us an estimate and told us he would pick up a new hot water heater and be at our home in about an hour. He arrived a little over an hour later and went right to work. While he was working we asked him about another plumbing concern (replacing the main water valve.) He had an extra one in his van and worked it into the price. He completed the job in about 3 hours. We highly recommend Davis Plumbing and thank Dennis for his promptness and professionalism. Dennis and his assistant Michael did a great job.  Very professional, Work was first rate and costs were reasonable.

I had a very positive experience with Davis Plumbing & Heating!  The  water in the toilet tank in the powder room kept running unless you opened up the tank and manually shoved the valve down.   I decided on the morning of my day off to use
Angie’s List to find a plumber to fix it who could come out that same day.
·     Called Davis Plumbing (who I had never used before) around 8:30am and asked if they could send someone out.  The lady took my info and confirmed that they had a plumber available.  She was not able to give me an ETA which was ok since this was short notice and  I was planning to be home for some other work that was being done on the house.  She said that the plumber would call me when he was on his way.
·  The plumber called around 1pm/ 1:30 to say that he was on his way.
·  The problem was quickly diagnosed and he recommended replacing a couple of other parts that were worn.  Since it is a 30 year old toilet that has not had any service in about 4 – 5 years I took his advice.
·   The work was done in an hour and change.  He needed to call in my credit card number to the office from my house phone which was unexpected in this day of mobile cc scanners. 
Dennis was the name of the plumber and I was impressed with his friendly professionalism and knowledge.  It was a rainy day and I appreciated that he put on shoe coverings before entering the house.   I will definitely be using Davis Plumbing again when I begin some bathroom renovations in the next few of months.

They were able to come out less than 24 hours from the time of the water pipe breaking. The men who came out were professional and courteous. They fixed the problem right away and restored my water in a matter of minutes.

They were prompt and figured out the problems quickly, then fixed just as fast. In and out in less than an hour. Reasonable price, friendly, and we would use again.

they arrived right about on time - after telling them what i had already done, they began working. it did take a little while, because the roots were very stubborn, but they got it done, and didn't track any mud or anything in the house! both gentlemen were extremely pleasant and professional.
I will definitely use them again, and i would recommend them. the cost was exactly as stated, they were punctual, professional and pleasant to work with.

Water heater went bad on a Sunday night. Monday morning they were there to install a new one at a great price.
