There was a federal tax rebate that was nearing its completion and we decided to replace our existing HVAC system, which was a bit long in the tooth, but otherwise worked well.  Custom Design was chosen as the provider for this project and was able to complete the overhaul before the credit ended.  There was copper wiring that had to be replaced and a new 'run' was needed between the air handler and the heat pump.

Everything was done in a timely and professional manner and I am submitting this review based on a co-worker asking me for HVAC advice and my looking over angies list for potential leads for him.  I will be giving him Customs contact information and hopefully he will have the same wonderful experience as I did.  I also called them today, speaking with Sam, who couldn't be more pleasant, to see how much replacement HEPA and pre-filters costs.

This could not have gone better! We lost A/C for the upstairs of our home just as the weather went from pleasant to miserable. It was a builder grade unit that gave us trouble every spring. When we found out it was not worth repairing we got estimates from 3 companies and Custom was the best, not only from cost but explanations, service commitments and conviction of the choices presented. A neighbor had gotten a system from them the previous week for the same problem, smaller home, so we knew the price range to expect, ours came in lower! Slightly larger system but fewer logistics, a pleasant surprise! When our 2nd system goes we will only be calling them! The unit came exactly when we were told, on time day of install, no extra charges and service workers brought their own clean blankets to line my whole entry, stairs, hallway and padding under drop down stairs to attic, and cleaned up their own messes and hauled the old unit. They did not miss a thing!

I have used this companhy for over 13 years to seasonally service the system. called on other companies before deciding to use Custom Design and was impressed with their expertise and friendliness. I would definitely recommend Custom Design for all heating and air conditioning services and/or replacement.
