I called Microsoft and they wanted to charge me $100 up front with no guarantee that they could fix the problem.  I called geek squad and another local repair shop and both quoted a $100 up front cost with no guarantees.  That is when I decided to check Angie's list.  I called Computer Medics (Highly ratted on Angie's list) they said there would be a $20 diagnostic fee.  I dropped the computer off on a Thursday and they had fixed it in 24 hours.  I thought they were going to have to reformat the hard drive which meant I would have lost quite of bit of information.   They were able to correct the startup menu and get windows working again.  I'm extremely pleased with the Angie list recommendation and the great service from this store!

Very nice, very professional. I was able to talk directly to the technician who was working on the hardware. He advised me to by a casing for my laptop HD to turn it into an external. Cost $80 for entire transaction, I was happy with that to get my thousands of pictures that I had taken back home again.

Excellent service

My desktop Windows XP machine finally gave up the ghost. They removed the hard drive and performed a data recovery. They retrieved all recent data that I had not yet backed up. They got everything I needed. I was very pleased with the result.

Unsuccessful. Destroyed hard drive upon request and accepted donation of laptop in lieu of service charge.

.I took our old desktop because it was running slow and had difficulty connecting to the internet. After a very detailed discussion about the age and probability of fixing and upgrading the computer, I left it to have a check up and estimate determined. hile we were shopping at BJ's, we discovered an excellent sale on new Dell PC. Without the advice I received in the initial interview, I could not have made this deccision. I called Computer Medics just before closing to tell them, they waited for me get bthere to pick up my old PC and didn't charge me anything.

My laptop just completely died and would not power up at all. I called Computer Medics and took the laptop into them. Within a couple hours they called to advise the problem was resolved. The price charged was very reasonable. Would highly recommend them.

The technician who worked on my computer was very professional and very good. They were terrific. They even brought my computer back to me when I couldn't come and get it. They answered every question and did a great deal more work than they were contracted to do. I would give them an A+ for everything.
