Colony was great setting up the appointment and came when they said they would. Service tech sprayed my problem area but did no additional troubleshooting to exterminate the source of the bees. After 1 week, the bee's were back. Again, colony was very responsive and came back out at no charge. Wasn't there the second time but assuming all they did was spray again. Bee's were back in a week again. Overall a C because they didn't fix the problem but otherwise, they were a pleasure to deal with.

After 3 years of HORRIBLE service by Terminix with no results (in 3 years, I might have had 4 months without ants in my shower) I called Colony. They were GREAT! I work a weird flexible schedule. Sometimes my day off is cancelled, and Colony was willing to work with me to come (or not come) due to my job. The ants were gone after the very first treatment, and have not returned! The agent lets me know when they will arrive, they show me what they will do, and work professionally. Love this company.

We've been with Colony for a few years now and they always do a great job. The same guy comes every quarter. He completely respects any rules I have about the house. For example, we have a no shoes in the house policy, so he always takes his shoes off right away. If we ever need them to come back before their next scheduled date, it's never a problem and I never see a charge. I highly recommend them.

The day of the the service the tech was almost 40 minutes late and did not call until he was about 10 minutes from our house. When he did call he did apologize and said he had gotten stuck in traffic. This would not have been a problem, but I had scheduled the service early in the morning because we had to be out of the house for about 4 hours. My husband worked nights the night before and I wanted to make sure he would be able to come home and go to sleep. Also, I had to remove my dog from the house and had dropped him off earlier at the groomer based on the time I was told someone would be at our house. I did try to call the office and because they are closed on the weekends, no one was there to tell me when someone was actually going to show up. I did leave a message saying that no one had called or showed up yet and I gave the time that my appointment was. I never did receive a courtesy call back. When the tech arrived he was polite and answered all of my questions. He sprayed our basement and the upper level and the basement, as I waited on the main level of our house. When he sprayed the main level, I waited on the porch. While he was spraying, it started raining, so he told me that he would have to come back to treat the perimeter of the house. He said that he would leave a note on the door when he came by, so we knew that he had been there. Almost three weeks later, I had still not heard from him, so I called the office and they scheduled him to come out on 4/16/15 to treat the perimeter. If I would not have called, no one would have ever come out and I had already paid for the service. It ended up raining the day he came out, so I am really not sure what good it did. When I called 3 weeks later to say the treatment was never finished, no one even apologized that we had waited that long. Also, the day the inside of the house was treated, when I did go back inside I had to wipe puddles of the pesticide off our wood and tile floors. There were two smaller spots under our coffee table where the wood became discolored when I wiped the pesticide off. I originally was not going to say anything, because I am fully aware that things happen, but my husband started noticing some carpet beetles that were alive. I have called the office and left messages on four separate occasions (5 if you include the call the day of the service) and no one has called me back. A phone call back would have meant a lot. So would have someone explaining why I had to call back to complete the rest of the service.

Charles came out on time and discussed the problem with us. He then checked the house and yard to evaluate the problem and quoted us a price with a description on the service he planned. He said he could do it at that time or we could consider it and contact them later if we wished. We asked him to take care of it. Upon completion he explained what he did and what we could expect. He stated that they had a 30 day guarantee; if we had a problem in a couple of weeks they would return and retreat. It appears to have been successful. We have seen a few fleas since then, but they were barely moving.

Charles arrived on time. Our house has a few spiders, ants and centipede, nothing major. He sprayed everything inside and outside. He is very knowledgeable and thorough. He told us the source of the ants. When he looked in the crawl space, there were no termites. However he discovered a small leak under our bathroom which we didn't know we had. Very glad we can , will call him again.

I previously wrote a review for Colony in the late winter when their Technician, Charles, came out to inspect for ants. He had given me some advice but since the ants were very few in number, recommended full treatment in spring when there were more. I scheduled Colony for 6/20/13 since the ants had started up in full force. Charles was our technician again, and called me the day before to verify time of between 12 and 2pm. He showed up at 12:15pm, inspected the house areas I was concerned about and discussed that there did not seem to be a need to treat on the inside as we were limiting their spread with baits, but that there were several trails of ants coming in on the outside. He proceeded to treat the outside and included the deck posts and supports and the concrete stairway where ants had recently been traveling into the finished basement.
Charles provided education on bugs themselves as well as why the treatment that he provided, which was helpful when I wanted to relay all of it to my husband later. One particular helpful piece of information was about a dead roach I found in the basement prior to his arrival. He found on signs of infestation and explained that the roach was an and quot;American Roachand quot; (something like that) and that this time of year they tend to swarm around the doors and windows at night when lights are on and fly inside when the door opens.
Our appointment was scheduled within a week of my calling since it was not emergent and I had to work around my work schedule as well as wanting the same Technician. They could have scheduled sooner had I needed it.
If the treatment is not effective and does not last, I will update my review. It is guaranteed for 30 days or they retreat for free in that time. Can't beat the price of $150.
Update 10/25/13: Just wanted to say that after the ants that were already in the house were killed, we had NO further ant problems for the entire summer and fall! Very happy with this service and highly recommend.

I called and set up an appointment 2 different times. They told me someone would call the day before. No one ever called so I had taken leave on a Friday to have them come by so I called them on Friday, and the lady said she would get back to me. She didn't so I called back. She said she hadn't heard from the technician and apologized and said she'd call me back. She never called back. I called back and got their answering service. On Monday, I never received a return call from them so I finally called them. The lady apologized and said an emergency had occurred so they couldn't get to me. I rescheduled for the next Saturday. Again, they were supposed to call on Friday and they never called. I waited until 5 pm and no one ever showed up or called. I'm not going to call again! The next Friday the technician called and asked me what time I wanted him to arrive on Saturday. I went ahead and set a time. He was a little late but called to let me know he was on his way. He was very knowledgeable and professional. I was very impressed with his service. I would not call them again because the technicians do not communicate with the receptionist and that part of their service is very unprofessional. I took a day's leave wating for them to arrive the first time and the second time, I was stuck at home until 5 pm waiting for them. Not having used their service before, I didn't know what to expect. The fact that the receptionist never called me back that next Monday was not acceptable. They use pet friendly spray and that's one of the reasons I called them. I'm not sure it's working all that well though. We'll see. So far it doesn't seem to be keeping the bugs away from the lights and it didn't kill a black spider that was hiding when the tech was here. He sprayed all around the door it was in though. I graded as follows: Overall Experience: C due to them leaving me hanging for two appointments. Price: B - was a fair price. $70 would have made more sense for what was done. Quality: A - I think the young man did a thorough job. Responsiveness: F - due to the lack of communication between the Tech, receptionist, and the lack of knowledge on the status of when the tech was coming or if he was coming to my house; and they never called back. Punctuality: A - Once the tech called me to let me know he was on the way, he was right on time. Professionalism: B - The tech was very professional but the Company's professionalism was below par.

The pest control agent applied control chemicals inside the home, outside the home, and checked all termite control stations for activity. Excellent company with very professional technicians!

I have had a contract with them for a long time. They do a good job. I pay them yearly. They come and do the termite inspection. If they want to spray for bugs and spiders then it would cost more. I have had them do that from time to time.
