Baker’s Fredericksburg Boot & Shoe Repair

I took a pair of expensive Mark Nason boots to have the heels replaced.  The boots came out looking like the day I took them out of the box.  I had never had shoes repaired.  I usually just throw them out and get a new pair.  But I also never had a pair of boots this nice and this comfortable.  I wear them so much that I eventually ended up eating up the heel.  When I got my boots back, they looked and felt new.  This gentleman is extremely professional, completed the work when promised, and his quality and workmanship is outstanding.  Thank you!

I took 2 pairs of boots and i pair of shoes to be repaired. They were able to sew the seam on the shoes, and repaint the heels on one pair of the boots. The other boots were suede and had some staining. He would not take them, but did offer me some tips on how to minimize the staining myself. I have yet to try it so I am unsure if it will work. Overall, I am very satisfied with the work completed. I just wish he had been able to clean my suede boots.

I've owned a pair of Florsheim military dress shoes for several years. The shoes hold a shine better than any I've ever owned (pretty important for a military guy) and apparently are no longer made. I wanted to have them re-soled rather than spending money on a lesser pair of shoes. I contacted a local King George shop, was told it would cost $100 and decided to do some price checking. I contacted Baker's in Fredericksburg on Friday the 28th of December leading into the New Year's holiday. I was quoted a price of $55-$59 and was guaranteed I would have them back on Monday the 31st by 4:30pm. When I dropped the shoes off, the cobbler informed me it would actually be $65 if I wanted to replace the soles with the same rubber impregnated soles they came with. I paid in full at drop off and headed out planning to return between 4 and 4:30 on Monday. I was contacted Monday the 31st and informed my shoes would actually be ready at 3:00pm vice 4 in case I wanted to head over early. When I arrived, the shoes were ready and, upon inspection, found them to basically have been returned to new condition. Outstanding work at what appears a fair price in a very timely fashion. Highly recommend this establishment!
