"Thank you for your review of our services. Although we did complete the job we were hired to perform, we discovered additional damage to other areas that could not be seen until the first damaged boards were removed. We replaced the damaged wood with poly board and painted as hired and then replaced two extra portions of rotted wood with no additional charge to stop the rotting process. The extra repair we completed created two seams in the trim although we recommended that the trim be replaced from top to bottom. At that time the customer opted not to have any more of the additional damaged boards replaced due to the extra cost for more poly boards as he was going to plant a big bush in front anyway, so the seam was not an issue at the time. Additionally, we found a serious ant infestation behind the additional damaged areas, sprayed immediate area, and advised customer to have area professionally treated. Sometimes additional damages are discovered during a project but it is always the customer's decision whether we make additional repairs that would result in an additional cost to the customer. Our extra efforts did not result in extra cost to the customer. If the customer decides to replace the other damaged areas it would result in an additional cost whether our company or any other company would perform the service. I called them and they provided some troubleshooting steps: check the breaker, check the gfi in the bathroom, etc... He reminded me that there was a bad switch and I would have to buy a new one and he could come install it for me. Then he noted that he has a $150 minimum charge, but he and quot;would work with me.and quot;
My wife and I agree that we do not want to pay another $150 to install a $36 exhaust fan. I'm not sure how often new things are broken out of the box, but it always seems to be me that buys it.
