These guys are terrible.  They're either so incompetent as to appear dishonest, or actually dishonest.  It's been over a year since their work and I'm still frustrated when I think about it.  Short version of the story is that it took them well over 6 weeks from first call to final resolution to fix our garage door.  They failed to order the parts at least once, didn't return calls, accused us of lying about our transaction until we showed them receipts to document our story, then tried to charge us for a follow-up visit when their original work failed to hold up.
I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume all of this was the result of poor internal communication at their end, but the result was difficult and frustrating.
And the kicker is that they estimated a repair on our other opener by telling me that if I would lie about being the original owner, then they'd help us claim the warranty.  Makes me wonder about giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Provider (Kirk) was arrogant, and displayed an attitude "that he knows best and the consumer does not."  Provider was able to fix the spring system, although it took longer than expected.  This incurred additional labor costs.  The biggest problem was the spring was not installed with appropriate safety underpinnings.  This installation failed to meet Virginia safety code, as was discovered some time later by another company.  That company put the appropriate safety mechanisms in place.  I will never use Automatic Overhead Door Company again, and certainly recommend nobody use them.  They are not worth the price, professionalism or technical standards.

Service and workmanship s outstanding.

From start to finish this company was great!!! They provided us with estimates, had someone come out for a site inspection, talked to me numerous times on the phone, and the serviceman Chris was awesome!!! Robert, Ann Marie, and everyone else in the office were very helpful and made this process go smoothly!!! My new door is wonderfully smooth, quiet, efficient and the cleanup was great. I have no complaints at all for this company and would gladly recommend them in the future to anyone and would use them again!!!

Technician arrived and evaluated keypad problem.  The batter was week and worked to raise the door but not to close it. He replaced the battery and now the door closes as it should.
Sensors were being overwhelmed by sun in the mid to late afternoon (house faces west) and prevented the door from closing.  Technician examined the problem and said he could swap the sensors but didn't think that would solve the problem.  I asked to cost of new sensors and he quoted a price of $50 per pair.  I asked him to install the new sensors
The garage door has performed normally since, even in mid afternoon with bright sunshine.

Submitted a request for service over the weekend via their website, and got a call Monday morning.  They were able to come out the next afternoon and fix it promptly.  Cost was actually a little less than estimated.

The install went great he replace the broken springs with a new one. My springs come enclosed in tube housing so the whole tube was just swaped out. Then he rewound the springs put everything back tested it greased all wheels and fittings. Great quick and done right!
Others wanted to convert the system. DON'T FALL FOR THAT! More expensive and it's just an excuse for not being able to get the parts.

After getting the estimate for a new garage door that we had chosen we were given a date of the doors shipment date. On that date we were called and asked for a date and time for installation that would be good for us. Charles showed up up on time and proceeded to let me know the procedure for the door removal and installation and then went right to work. The work performed was very thorough and done by a professional. Cleanup was great and our new garage door looked beautiful and operated wonderfully. I would recommend this company to any one especially knowing Charles was the installer!

The service was excellent, very prompt, and in fact, they came out in a bad storm. I would highly recommend them to others.

I call the company, explained what I needed done and they gave me an estimate over the phone and scheduled service for the next day. The tech came out and provided service quickly and efficiently. They charged me exactly what they estimated. The tech made sure I was happy with work before leaving. The next day Robert called from their office to make sure everything was working properly and to ensure I was satisfied with there service. I was impressed with the follow up by their company to ensure the customer was satisfied.
