It was a very positive and personal experience overall. He went above and beyond spending a lot more time than he needed to. Very punctual, polite and professional. He made the experience enjoyable and he had our best interest at heart. I will definitely recommend him and absolutely use him, again.

Poorly. I have not received the appraisal and I have not received a refund.
Arrangements were made in April 2013 and payment was made. The appraiser did visit the property. However he indicated that he had an accident which delayed the delivery of the appraisal. I told him I was willing to wait a couple months for him to recover.
Unfortunately we were not able to close the deal. In June he said he would try to complete it. The appraisal didn't get sent. I asked how he was progressing about once per month, and then in November I asked for the product or a refund. In December, I requested a PDF copy by email which he said he would send, but didn't.
He got the higher mark for the professionalism of his emails which have always been courteous. And his price (had the product been delivered) would be competitive compared to the other quotes recvd.
Today I've requested that the money refunded.
And I'm starting the search for another appraiser.
