I have used All Air for several years now. Jerry and his team are always very knowledgable, patient (with me) and efficient. We use them for ongoing maintenance and had a system replaced a while ago as well. They go over the options, both pricey and not so much and let you decide. One time I even called to get a recommendation on a plumber to replace a leaking outside hose bib. Jerry sent his guys out and they fixed it themselves for next to nothing!

After installing a new system in our rental house, All-Air signed us up for a maintenance contract. I paid up front, they performed the the first bi-annual service but I couldn't get them to send me a receipt to file for our tax records. Had to call several times. So as the next year rolls around, I called to get a receipt for the next tax year and find out that they had dropped my contract and hadn't been going twice a year to service our units. Needless to say, I've gone with another company.

I signed a year long contract for Preventive Maintenance and other than covering the semi-annual cleaning and routine maintenance, it didn't cover anything. I should have just kept my Home Warranty. The quality of their work is very good but like most contractors, they try hard to sell you a product you just don't need right away.
Also, I had a billing dispute which they agreed to rectify but after several attempts, I had to just call the bank and dispute the charge on my credit card.

On June 11, All AC sent a tech out to check my AC problem. His diagnosis was that there was a bad blower motor and that repairs would run $670. The charge for this 40 minute assessment was $89. Finding that diagnosis to be implausible, I looked at the system myself that evening and found the cause of the problem to be clogged pretreatment screens. Basically, clogged air filters. I felt stupid for not catching the clogged filters before I called for service, but had guests in town and didn’t want them to be uncomfortable with the high temperatures. The system has run fine since I cleaned them out.
I called Jerry (the owner) and told him what I had found. I even sent him pictures. I asked him why he thought the blower was bad and why I needed a new one. He told me that's what the tech said. When confronted with the question of what would have happened if I had agreed to the $670 worth of work, Jerry just said well I guess they (the techs) have to learn somehow.
Jerry (the owner) said he would come by to look at the system but instead sent their lead tech. The lead tech and the initial tech went through the system and found nothing to be wrong other than the pretreatment screens which I had already cleaned and replaced. I asked Jerry for a refund of my $89 service charge for the botched diagnosis. My request was ignored.
If you’d like to train Jerry’s technicians, call All AC.
Price: $89 service call - OK priceQuality: Poor - misdiagnosed the problem then refused a refundResponsiveness: Responded same day and called when running a few minutes latePunctuality: Within an hour or so of time scheduledProfessionalism: Professional demeanor at house; however, owner not willing to stand by his mistake and refund misdiagnosed service call fee.

I used this company previously (2011) to service my system when it stopped cooling. We noticed them when visiting another local business and decided to call. They were very prompt, and responsive to our call--they came the same day we called. The technician was polite, and got the system working well. I was also told that there was a and quot;leakand quot; in the system, and to find it would be approximately $1000 to $1200 in addition to the gas/freon for my system. We declined that because there was no evidence of a leak, however, he did need to replace the and quot;boxand quot; on the outside of the house. This year (2012), on Thursday, I noticed that one of my units was not cooling very well--we decided not to call on the weekend, because service is expensive on the weekends. I called yesterday and left a message and got a call back. They were prompt with their response and visit to my home: However, this time my experience went south when Jerry quoted me a price of $150. per pound for gas, and $280. for sealant for a and quot;leakand quot;, after he hooks his meter to my unit; I'm told I need about 4lbs of 9lbs but he could not tell me how much was in the system. We have had not problems with the unit throughout this hot spring, and I can't help wondering why we were so cool and comfortable throughout these past hot days, if there is a leak. When I questions the cost, he politely expressed that the cost had gone up about 3 months back and now cost him $1700. I went inside to call my husband to pass on the news, and when I came back out he was on the phone, asking how the customer found him--and quot;Angies Listand quot;. I let him talk to my husband, who expressed his concern about the cost. Jerry proceeded to explain that the gas for my system was discontinued, and the new stuff is more expensive. He could discount up to $125 but that was it. My husband suggested that he could find a cheaper service, Jerry then told my husband to do his research, and he had other customers to get to (with attitude). At this point, I told him and quot;no, we won't be doing this with you todayand quot; and ended the call with my husband. He seemed to be annoyed at our questions about the cost: He unhooked his meter, and continued to tell me why the prices were so high, and that he could guarantee that his competitors were going to add an additional and quot;adjustmentand quot; cost if I were to go to them. My husband called back before he left to tell me that he found a company (M and M Quality Service) that would service the unit for less. After this guy left my house, I noticed that my upstairs unit was not cooling like it was before he came. I made the mistake of not having the checkbook in my hand, and had to go back inside to write a check for him. DON'T LEAVE THEM UNATTENDED! stay with them and observe what they do. Do contact at least three other service company's before going with this one. Do know the type of gas you need for your system. Don't second guess your system--investigate.
7/3/2012 --Mand M Quality Service just left the total charge for his visit was $296 vs. $600. This is a 50% savings. The service fee was waived, because he actually perform the work. Showed my husband where a leak would be if there was one, ( there wasn't and no need for sealant!) and showed him how much gas was in the system, and how much he put in (4lbs). My husband showed him the receipt that All Air wrote-- what a great discrepancy! Mand M was done in minutes!
Response from All Air Heating & Cooling Services LLC

"I can understand a customers frustration when faced with something they have no knowledge of and have to pay a professional for service rendered. When the temperatures rises and people are uncomfortable in there home, they call for service. [member name removed] have a leak in there A/C system. If there was no leak they would not need refrigerant. The type of refrigerant in there system is R-22. This refrigerant is being phased out due to it's damage to the ozone. The cost of the refrigerant has gone up 500% in the last 10 years on the wholesale level, these costs are going pass threw to the customer. [member name removed] can there make a repair to there system or replace it. The A/C seal treatment cost is $189.00 flat rate not $280.00. This is a lower cost alternative to a 4-5 hour leak repair which start around $1200.00 All Air Heating & Cooling Services LLC is dedicated to providing our customers with good service to make there homes and businesses comfortable."

I called initially due to no cool air blowing from A/C. They had a person out here in less than two hours (and I live over half an hour from their shop.) He diagnosed the problem for $89 and did some temporary wiring (additional charge) that was supposed to keep us cool that night. It didn't work, but when he came the next day with the part, he got it fixed in a couple of hours. They lowered the cost of the repair so I didn't end up paying for the faulty temp wiring job. He was in and out of my house a dozen times, and used shoe covers just once. The tech answered all of my questions, but took off his uniform shirt, was working in a tank top, and left me with a less than top-notch customer service experience. A week later, when we had water in our basement, I called back, and was told no trip charge to come out again. I waited another week as water leakage was inconsistent. The next week, when water leakage kept occuring and a blower seemed stuck "on", I called All Air back. This time another tech was nothing but pleasant, not only answered my questions, but explaind the How and Why of what was happening with my system. In about an hour and a half, he did the needed repair, and checked other components to make sure they were working properly. I give Glenn an A, but since his co-worker was only a C, I averaged the ratings. I was happy enough with All Air despite my moderate experience the first day, that I entered an annual srvice agreement (not included in above priice - additional $32 a month.) I plan to use this company for my heating and A/C needs for the forseeable future.

On a Monday I met with the owner of the company, who provided an estimate of what it would take to replace our current, old system. This was the fourth estimate and we decided to go with All Air and called him the next day to schedule the work. On Tuesday he came back with one of his installers to take measurements and early Thursday three workers came to install the new system. They were very polite and when they came in the house, they put covers on their shoes so as not to track in dirt. The owner and the head installer were extremely helpful in explaining what was to take place answering each question with professionalism. During the day of installation the owner stopped by to make sure everything was correct. All Air has their own facilities so that they can quickly make the connecting pieces for the current ducts to the new equipment. They also have their own warehouse for Bryant supplies. We only had to wait on one switch but that didn't affect the function of the system.

The company manager oversaw all work and was a pleasure to work with. He and his crew were very professional and polite and We have never encountered tradespeople who were so helpful, clean or respectful of our home and family before. They checked in when coming and going in and out of the house, and told us of any and all delays upfront. We would highly recommend this company for any Heating or Air work in your home.
