Had 1 company come out and check my upstairs air conditioning as it was not working. Spent 5 minutes checking it out and Said I needed new compressor, but should really consider new system. Called DMH for 2nd opinion. Darran came out on time and spent about a half hour and fixed it for a fraction of the cost of a new compressor! I am happy to recommend DMH and will be using them for my future heating and cooling needs!

It's not on a per call basis, it's a yearly contract. That yearly contract was $135 and that is at least 2 visits per year.

I'm a federal attorney so integrity and quality are very important to me and those are the standards by which I measure services. Darren has these. He also has my trust and respect. Darren has been servicing my systems for a couple years now. I started using him after he corrected a huge screw up by another Heating and AC company who took advantage of my parents at their home. He went out of his way to help my parents and get corrective action from that other company. I believe my parents originally found Darren on Angies list. After that he became my parent's go to AC/Heating guy as well as mine. He won two loyal customers out of that experience. This winter took a toll on my home's heat pump and the power outage and resultant surge fried some wires in my unit in the attic unknown to me. We started to smell a nasty smell coming from the vents. It didn't smell like burning but Darren pretty much saved my house from burning down. He fixed the fried wires that were exposed and overheating the unit. Thanks Darren

As I mentioned before, Darren made an early stop to diagnose my problem prior to actual service. That impressed me, because most companies won't do that. He was very straightforward, and pleasant to deal with. He was very professional and outgoing. The maintenance visit was the most impressive thing! He spent what I considered a long time checking and cleaning my system. He started with the inside blower, identifying some condensation issues in the electrical system, but advising not to be overly concerned. He offered a logical explanation in lay terms as to why things might be happening and how I could correct them without incurring additional cost. He mentioned that he wasn't a salesman, and if things could be fixed, he didn't recommend replacing them. That's refreshing! The filter was the best part. He actually disassembled my electrostatic filter (not an easy task) to clean it thoroughly, rather than recommending a costly replacement. I'm no expert, but I know that's not something I would do, and he didn't really want to do it either... but he did to save me money. He also thoroughly cleaned the outside heat pump and recommended some energy-saving thermostat tips. I am completely sold on DMH Services and would endorse without question a visit from Darren to any of my friends.

From the very start, DMH Services set the standard for service. Mr. Hannit came out and investigated first what was potentially wrong with my heat pump and then checked my air handler. The air handler has an inner coil leak in it and the heat pump compressor was not working. Mr. Hannit tried to get the compressor to work and because my system was out of warranty, he gave me some solid options from replacing the compressor to installing a new heat pump. In addition to giving me solutions for possible fixes, he discussed with me options of purchasing a new system and the pros and cons for the major systems. I decided to replace both the heat pump and the air handler (York was the old brand) with an American Standard system. Mr. Hannit did the install over a two day period and was absolutely professional, courteous, during the installation and never got tired of the questions I threw his way or the fact that I was around to watch what was going on. No detail went unnoticed by him as he completed the installation and got me up and running again. If you live in the Palmyra/Fork Union/Charlottesville area (heck....anywhere around this area), give DMH Services a call...you will not be disappointed.
