Terrible! I called them to repair our air conditioner. They did not respond so I contacted another company who promptly repaired within two hours. A day later it was not working again and the people who repaired determined someone had disconnected the power to the unit. My neighbor watched this company unplug the unit, the owner said the tech said the line was frozen so he disconnected which was a lie! I reported to the BBB.

They arrived promptly, were very professional and got the job done.

I called Tropical to explain I may have a propane gas leak and that I had the unit shut off. I asked for a technician to come the next morning, which he did. He tested to see if there was a leak. There was none. He inspected and cleaned the thermocouple and the heating tube. The unit worked perfectly once he was done. He explained how the unit works and how to maintain it, which was bery helpful to me. I always appreciate a technician who will interact with me in an informative way.

I have been doing business with them for 10 years because they are very professional. They gave me a good price. I will continue to use them again in the future.

I've used them several times in the past. They are always on time and very professional. I'm on a fixed income and their prices are good. They will let me make payments, which helps me a lot. I am always pleased. I don't think their prices are too terribly high. They come out right away.

I am still waiting and have been since March for my unit to be fixed. Sad that this unit is only a year old. I wouldn't recommend this company to any one ... poor customer service.

CJ was very responsive to my call for a quote, and was onsite within 4 business hours of my initial call. He correctly pointed out that the manner in which the venting of the existing gas furnace and the adjoining hot water heater was accomplished did not meet code. He also correctly pointed out that the existing liquid refrigeration line was undersized and should be replaced. He presented two replacement options and I chose the route of the all electric heat pump system. The pricing that I got from him was very fair- the equipment alone priced out on the internet was $4200. He had a crew of 4 onsite for half a day, then 2 for the second half of the day. The following morning, someone returned for an hour to finish off the job. The job required extensive re-wiring and running of a new copper refrigeration line. Having done some of this type of work myself in the past, I can say that they were very careful to do the least amount of drywall damage possible to accomplish this job. I was appreciative of that given that I am the one that will be repairing the drywall. Overall, I received a very good system at a very fair price. The equipment has a 10 year parts warranty and 1 year labor and freon warranty. I would highly recommend them to my friends and neighbors. I had two competing quotes from American Standard and Trane dealers, which were significantly higher in price (20% and 40% higher respectively). One other note- during the installation, the gas has to be shut off which turned off the hot water heater as well. They workers had left for the day and driven home (a half hour away) before realizing it. They drove back that evening to reconnect and relight the gas heater. I was impressed by their dedication to take care of the issue on their own!
