 + -1 moreAfter recent self installation of ecobee3 smart thermostat, heat pump was not working properly. Technician called when he was on his way (an hour away) which was appreciated (and was not strictly necessary, because he arrived within the 2 hour window we had been given when we arranged the appointment.) He was very courteous and verified all settings were correct on the thermostat before troubleshooting the unit. Some of the air handler required rewiring, as the new thermostat was trying to perform functions that our existing unit was not capable of. He took the time to explain everything to my wife and called me at work to make sure I didn't have any additional questions. He also recommended some different settings on the smart thermostat to improve energy efficiency. Overall we were pleased with the experience and plan to contact Maddox for future service calls.
