I have been with Dr. Stevens for 20-plus years. I have never known a vet who was as caring and compassionate as she is. I have had five cats over the years, and she has been the primary vet for three of them, two of whom are still living and in good health (one lived to 18 years). When I have had to euthanize a pet, she allows me to stay in the room with my baby, and she does her best to make the end a kind and easy one. Always able to get an appointment in a timely manner. Their office is very convenient in Forest where I live with friendly and helpful front and back staff. It is a modern facility, clean and up to date. She helps me understand the different disease processes, aging, and routine care that may be needed such as dental. My husband and I both feel very comfortable talking to her and asking questions, and she spends as much time with you and you and your pet need.

Always a great experience there.

The doctors always do a good job with our cat. The examined our cat and explained all of the possible causes of her illness. Our cat has always been calm at this office. We will continue going there.

I was hospitalized for a longer period of time than originally expected, therefore, my pets were boarded longer than anticipated. I had provided their food but it wasn't enough to cover my extended stay. I was charged $22.75 for 13 5.5oz cans of food ($1.75 per can). This blew me away since I had expected boarding fees to cover their food. They appear to have been well taken care of but they, of course, were happy to get home.

The only reason that I left that vet was I moved away. The vet I'm going through right now was referred to by dental care. I think they are just the best. Actually my eyes were tearing up and I was ready to cry when I have to leave. I have criminal dog and one of them has diabetes. I had another dog a long time ago who had a cancer and they have to put him to sleep. Through all that, they were easy to work with and they are like family doctor to your dog. I love that vet.

They are reasonably priced. They have a boarding facility and they have grooming services, they are like a one stop place which is why we ended up switching to them. It is more convenient. Everyone there is very professional and very loving towards the animals. When we take our dog over there he forgets about us and he is very happy to get out. He is treated very well.

Great. They were punctual and did what needed to be done without recommending excessive procedures.

My overall experience with them was good. They are gentle, and they are thorough. Their staffs are nice.

I've been taking my cat to this facility for veterinary care and boarding for the last 1 1/2 years on the recommendation of a friend with very high standards. My friend is right: the staff is always friendly and helpful, my cat is well cared for. I leave him there for several days every few months and always know that he's in good hands.

Gentle Care and Dr. Stevens are absolutely wonderful! Dr. Stevens was so gentle with our dog knowing she was scared to death with all the changes she had been through in the last 24 hours! Everyone is the office was friendly and caring! The waiting area and the exam room were clean. I can not say anything bad about this office. From the minute we walked in until we left, we felt important, like the staff cared about us and our puppy, not just about getting another client. I have been to several other vets in town with other animals but I have never been treated as well as I was treated here. I highly recommend this office if you are wanted a great vet. The cost was about what we expected for a vet. No vet is cheap!

I was very impressed with Gentle Care and Dr. Stephens. I was not a client of this clinic. I had an immediate need for veterinarian services when one of my dogs was unable to keep any food or water down following a copperhead snake bite and emergency vet treatment. Following over 24 hours of severe nausea, his regular vet was unable to see him so I began calling nearby vets. Gentle Care was the one that graciously agreed to work him in that day. Dr. Stephens spent about 30 minutes with us and was very kind and concerned. I received a follow-up phone call the next day to check on my dog. When he was still having trouble the next day, they worked us in again. Knowing that we had to go out of town the following day, they even offered to keep my dog while we were away so that his condition could be monitored. I feel that Gentle Care went above and beyond what I would expect for dog that wasn't even an established client at their office!

Perfect in every way, shape and form!!! Doesn't get any better than Gentle Care Animal Hospital!!!!!

I was able to drop off my dogs on time and was able to explain to the groomer how we wanted them to be cut/groomed. The receptionist went over the "vet stuff" that they needed done while there. I was contacted when they were finished and ready for pickup. Pickup went smoothly. They gave me additional medicine for a persistent ear/skin problem one of my dogs has that no one seems to know the proper treatment for (including the vet we used before moving to this area). The only problems I have with this vet is that the prices they charge (including grooming) are significantly higher then what I paid before moving to this area and the actual vets themselves do not interact with you as much as I am used to. The people at the front desk are the ones who tell you about test results and required medication, not the vets. They do ask you if you want to speak to one of the doctors. We did this once and instead of going back to talk to the vet they came to the reception area to talk to you. I would prefer a bit of privacy for such conversations.

We credit Dr.Stephens for saving our family pets life. Past Vets misdiagnosed our pet and Dr. Stephens properly diagnosed what was wrong. Our pet is like a puppy again. New meds and better care. We LOVE THEM ALL! Oh Bonus... SHE CALLS YOU WITH ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS!!

The receptionists were friendly and the hospital was brand new and clean. The doctor was not only nice and knowledgeable, but also on time (which is a lot more than you can say about human doctors). I feel that my dog was comfortable and well cared for. I will continue to use their clinic for all of my pets.
