Vailes Master Plumbing & Pump Service

Outstanding job! Parts were on-hand/in the company van so the job was completed fast. Also educated me on my new home's outside hose faucets and checked one out for me to ensure it was in good working order...really went above and beyond what most people would have done.

The service representative was on-time, got right to work and did a very thorough inspection, cleaning, filter change, checking all aspects of motor, blower, pumps, flame sensor, etc. He checked the ignition system too.

I had a plumber at my house within an hour of my call.  I thought the water softener was leaking but the plumber observed it was actually a pipe leading to the water softener that had a small pin hole leak.  He replaced the pipe and completed the job in about 30 minutes or so.  He was courteous, professional and saved my day.  Could not ask for better service.

I already rated Vailes last month but get the notice to finish the review.
As I had said they snaked through the main drainage line to clear blockage and ONE week later water was again backing up in the tub and toilet.
Their contract said NO warranty on drain cleaning and the service man said if I had trouble again, to call Roto Rotor so I spent $507 dollars for nothing.
I then called another plumber and he found the blockage and dug down at the footage he found it and found a bad place in the pipe and repaired it and it hasn't been a problem again for several weeks now.
Vailes called to see if they could discuss my review, but for what? It had then been fixed and there receipt says NO WARRANTY. I never called them back as I didn't see any reason to have any more dealings with them and I never will.

Thought all was great but it only lasted one week. Water is backing up in the tub and toilet again and of course, there is No guarantee.
So that was $507.00 dollars for nothing..
And they were very clear about there being NO guarantee and if I had problems in a week or a month I should call Roto Rooter.
That seems like a heck of a way to run a company after paying $507.00 for the work.
I only went to them because they were the top of the list on Angie's List but I sure won't use them again.

When city staff came out, indeed it was a city issue..they fixed at no charge.

I would tell somebody to get a quote from them but expect it to be high. I just picked them out of the phone book because they were local. They were double the cost of other companies in the area. Other quotes I got were for $149 and they wanted $259 for the same work. They were charging me a flat rate fee and then wanted to add on to it.

I have dealt with them before for other plumbing issues, and they are excellent. When they fix something, it is done right the first time, for example, they fixed my garbage disposal I don’t know how long ago, but I have never had a problem with it again. I went with them because they are all-in-one, right from electric, to HVAC, to plumbing, they do it all. The have a really professional service staff which is well groomed, they don’t come in all dirty, and they don’t use bad language. I definitely would recommend them to other Angie’s List members. The owner is just a kid, and the people who work for him are accountable, he is on it, not just lip service. Because of the quality of their service, the price was fair.

My overall experience with them was fine. They were prompt and showed up when they said they were going to show up. Their price was reasonable.

All went well.  They are very honest, prompt and courteous.  I have used them since 2006.
