All that was left were the stumps at ground level like I asked. They stayed with the burning debris until it was gone. Then they raked up all the ashes, gathered them into wheelbarrows and watered them down! They then dumped the ashes in the woods. Very, very pleased with the work that they did. Will use them again when I need lawn service again. And I called them because their company name and phone number were on their trailer going down the road. The name is a bit of a misnomer. Neither one of these guys is big as a bear but they sure worked like it.
