Nickie, showed up on time and was very easy to work with. We have bought and older home. Nickie helped me pick out paint colors for several rooms and hallways. She also gave me several ideas of how to update my bathrooms without spending a lot of money. Working with a designer is not cheap but well worth the money. Very pleased with her recommendations and will be seeing her again after this round of projects are completed.

We had just bought a new house and I am no good with color or design so
Nickie came over and sat with my Fiance and reviewed setting up our
house. one of the great things about Nickie as she has such a great
eye. unlike many of the designer who basically come in and tell you you
need all new everything. Nickie walk through your whole house and will
have you moving things from one room to another that you would never
have thought of and they make your house look like a new home. then add
some color, Nickie recommended some colors for certain rooms and also
complimented some of the thing my fiance had already done and told her
not to change. this approach was so nice for my Fiance as she was
worried about breaking budget. I have used Nickie before and will
always recommend her

My wife and I have begun a major remodeling project in our condo. We ran into a wall trying to coordinate new countertop, cabinets, tile, and paint with our existing hard wood floors, but Nickie helped us break through. Not only did she design a palette that worked for us, she pointed out design elements we had totally missed. Plus, she provided quite a few money saving remodeling tips. We highly recommend her services; they're well worth her fee. We have no doubt we'll save ten times as much by following her advice and tips.

I have been remiss in sending in reviews on Nickie as I have used her many times and have been pleased every time with the work she has done in my home. She specializes in using the furniture and accessories you already have in your home to decorate and it's absolutely amazing what a difference she makes just by rearranging furniture and accessories. She even went with me to Bed, bath and Beyond to help me pick out curtains and on top of that gave me coupons to use! On one of her visits she even went with me to my new office and In less than one hour she completely decorated it, hanging art on each wall. One one of the visits to my house she changed out one rug from one room to another and carried a curio up the stairs by herself- totally impressive! She's extremely professional and pleasant to work with. She charges approximately $150.00 per hour but gets an incredible amount done in one hour. I will continue using her for any decorating needs and highly recommend her to anyone wanting outstanding results from a Truly gifted decorator.

Thank you Nickie! I was in a panic last night. The painters had taken down our old wallpaper and were coming the next day to start painting. I could not decide what color paint to use -on any of our walls!---We are doing a major re-do of our house and thought we had picked out some good colors, but now were not sure. I called Nickie at 5:30pm (in a panic) and she arrived an hour later! She was unbelievably good helping to make decisions. We accomplished so much in one hour. Paint colors for entire house, upholstery and window treatment suggestions as well as furniture design. She is amazing. I will continue to ask Nickie's advice as we move forward with our renovation. Nickie had come to our home once before to give suggestions on irenovating our house for possible near- future sell. She was great then too! The icing on the cake is that Nickie has a warm, caring personality and truly cares about her clients.

I am so happy that I picked this company over the others! You can tell that Nikky has years of experience when it comes to decorating and she worked within my budget. Her recommendations are so spot on from paint color to paint texture (I would have never selected either correctly on my own). I am so happy with every detail she recommended and I enjoy my home so much more now and it's all because she helped bring about the look and feel that I wanted all along. Also, I was stuck with thought that my large TV could only be placed in one area of the house and I so happy that she found another area to place it! It's perfect.

I recently bought a single family home and I was looking to update the color scheme in most of the rooms (living/dining/den/bed/bath rooms). Considering the costs of an interior paint out, I wanted to ensure the colors I selected fit; You know...not too bright, not dreary, etc.

After reading the reviews on and quot;Yours by Designand quot; (Nikie), I decided to select her for a color consultation (with the potential for future design ideas as well). After making contact and scheduling an date/time, it was all smooth sailing. She showed up on time!, went right to work on assessing the current color while actually listening to my expectations. Then she broke out the color swatches (?) and did her magic! A true professional, Nikie balanced between listening to my ideas and proposing a few color schemes that would really work for my place. I've already painted the color samples on a few walls and bada bing . . . She was spot on!

If you need (or even think you need) some ideas on color (and likely an overall interior design), you must check out Nikie. You'll be glad you did...I was!

Nickie was wonderful. In less than 2 hours she was able to work with me to select colors for all the rooms in my new house. Nickie came to my unit quickly after I contacted her, and in less than 2 hours she described what to do with each room -- what wall colors, trim colors, accent colors, and window treatments to use, and which furniture pieces to use (and where) during staging. She started at the front gate and described what preps to perform on the townhouse unit's private entry courtyard and garden and entertainment patio as well.

First and foremost, I want to tell you that Nickie is an expert who really knows her business. And she's a sweet lady who is very easy to get along with. We followed her suggestions exactly, with no deviation, and down to the very last detail.

Secondly, the painters just finished yesterday, and now the home's formerly plain and ugly interior looks jaw-dropping, stunningly beautiful -- so says me, and my wife, and all of our friends and neighbors who saw the place before and after the makeover. What an amazing transformation.

Nickie recommended against several of the expensive ideas that I had (about buying or replacing items), instead suggesting lower cost, higher impact changes -- she is more conscious about saving me money than I was myself. Wonderful lady!

She measured my living room and she put the carpet in. She picked out paint for six rooms. She is great. I like what she picks. She is very easy to be around. I cannot pick out paint and stuff and she does that for me. She charges $125 per hour. It sounds like a lot of money but she is worth it. I would use her in the future.

Nickie's schedule was very flexible and the wait time was very short (think days or a week). She was on time, totally professional, and didn't stop looking and making suggestions for the entire time she was here. Just great.

Nickie Myers arrived promptly and got to work immediately. My family room was my biggest dilema. After living in this house since 1973, I needed a new look for my family room. I plan to have wallpaper removed and walls and paneling painted. She gave me some great color ideas for the walls. She rearranged some furniture in my family room in a manner I never would have thought of and it looks great. I love it. I was open to getting rid of a couple pieces of furniture in the family room, and she thought they worked just fine, especially a large bookcase which she advised me to move to another wall and away from a window. I could use two more new chairs and she told me the color and style that would work well in that room. She told me what types of window treatments would work in that room and how to hang the rods higher to make the windows look longer. My kitchen was remodeled about 7 years ago. Looks great, but I was never happy with the color walls. She suggested a nice brick color that I love and never would have looked at on my own. Wallpaper needs to be removed in the foyer and hallways. She told me what colors would work well in those spaces. She also gave me color choices for the walls in a bedroom and office. Nickie was great to work with. She sensed my decorating style and did not suggest anything I could not live with. I was very open to her decorating suggestions and plan to implement them very soon. She also said I could call her (no charge for that) with questions I have on paint colors, etc. I highly recommend her, It was worth probably more than $150 for me not to make mistakes with paint colors, etc.

I really enjoyed my experience with Nickie. All I needed were a few tips on how to choose a color palette and rearranging furniture and buying some new pieces. She gave me some great ideas, and was very friendly and non-pretentious. She seemed more interested in saving me money than on making it herself. Definitely $150 very well spent!

The hour consultation went very well, wife and I were impressed with Nikie's keen insight and suggestions on how to best arrange our family room. She even brought to our attention an area of the room that should be utilitized to open the area up and make the whole room more spacious, for which we never thought about doing. Her suggestions on furniture placement was very helpful.

Nickie was prompt, friendly, and very professional. She had great ideas for tying our rooms together using many of the items already in the home. We just remodeled, painted, and had a new floor installed and she was excellent in helping us to pull everything together. She gave us recommendations for a few furniture purchases, where and what to hang on the walls, color coordination of a backsplash, window dressing ideas, positioning tables, lamps, and rugs. Maybe most importantly, she gave us recommendations on what spaces to leave alone to avoid a cluttered look. She packs a lot into one hour. We look forward to seeing the transformation. Nikki walked through every room with us. We pointed out what we liked or didn't like. I focused on pointing out what areas made me feel funny - when you move into a new house you want it to feel welcoming, not strange, and Nikki seemed to understand what I was feeling. Nikki then gave us advice on what furniture placement would work better in terms of functionality and design, and what would make us feel comfortable. Some of the uncomfortableness she mitigated by advising us to move large furniture away from any entrances. 90% of her suggestions recommended moving stuff we already owned from one room to another. She gave us suggestions room by room that were simply taking what we already had and using it better. My husband took notes and we moved stuff as she suggested within the week. For example, she suggested that an odd family heirloom tall Jacobean cabinet in the basement be moved in an empty corner in the living room - and now it looks like a showpiece and fits perfectly there even though it isn't a contemporary piece at all. We would never have thought of it and now we love it. We had plans to buy some new furniture and she gave us good advice on that too. Our new kitchen doesn't have a pantry and she agreed that some more storage space was needed and could be accommodated in the dining area. She suggested two tall cabinets that would frame a window - which was the exact opposite of what we were thinking of buying. She suggested mixing and matching some leather chairs in the dining area - two large and two small chairs. Once again, she was right - the new tall cabinets make the room cozy and stylish and we feel more comfortable spending time in our dining room now - it has that Starbucks vibe which is what we wanted. It is so much work to move - and it seems like it should be easy to just move into a new place. Just moving in is easy compared to the bigger issue of making your old furniture work in a new place. We now feel more confident in our new house purchase and our ability to live in it comfortably - which is huge! We plan to hire Nikki again so that we can now hang much of our wall art without fear.

She is a wealth of knowledge. Since we are furnishing our home in stages we will be using her again.

It was a great experience. Nickie barely got in the door and started assessing the situation in the living room. I think it's great the way she started out by finding and pointing out the positive aspects of what I had, and did not immediately assume that we were going to clean house and start with new everything as a traditional interior designer might have. This couldn't have been easy, as my decorating skills are nil, so my house probably looks more like an over-sized dorm room than an adult's home. She advised me on everything I asked about, including selecting colors, furniture arrangements, how to match and hang the artwork, what styles of replacement furniture to consider, etc. (seriously, I can do NOTHING). She gave good advice on what pieces of existing furniture could fit well into the new arrangement, and what pieces were perhaps beyond their useful life. She had catalogs of things like window treatments and paint samples so it was easy to visualize what she had in mind. She was very considerate of how the living room is used, and worked around its also functioning as our home theater space. This decorating thing is a huge frustration for me, and I was so inspired by what turned out to be very simple advice that I immediately started rearranging furniture and pulling pictures off the wall so I could get an immediate start on things. We also went through the rest of the house and Nickie again had what I think are great ideas to optimize spaces and fix some glaring faults in what I already had (metallic turquoise window blinds anyone?). The main focus was on the living room however, so that's where we spent most of the time. I'm looking forward to the new look, and I look forward to getting Nickie's advice again as I go through the project.

Nickie helped us choose paint colors for all the rooms in our house and provided advice on painting a room with wood panels. First, she listened to our ideas and looked at the fabrics we had already purchased, and then she helped us develop a color scheme (one that could accommodate the colors in our original 1960's bathrooms). We have started the painting ourselves, and the colors she helped us choose look great!

She was on time and very professional open and friendly. She has a good eye for color and matching it to my personality. She listens to your needs and ideas. She offered several suggestions for future furniture buys. She is open to do big and small jobs. I can't wait for her to return when my furniture arrives for the final touches to make my house a home.

When I called Nickie, she was very responsive and understanding of exactly what I needed. I had been in my home for 2 years and had just inherited a few pieces of additional furniture that I wanted to incorporate. In addition, I was not happy with the appearance of some of my rooms but was not clear on how to improve them. My experience with Nickie was wonderful! She incorporated my written thoughts that I had prepared prior to our appointment as well as the ideas of my husband and teenage son who walked our home with us expressing their concerns. She had great ideas and was also sensitive to what we used each room for and to what was most important to us. She was willing to just use our existing furnishings but also made some suggestions for a few key purchases. When she left, I felt very ready to tackle a minor home rearrangement on our own. She also left some catalogs and made some paint suggestions. We have since incorporated many of her suggestions and are so pleased with the results.
