Last June I purchased a Panasonic DVD/VCR Recorder from Tweeter. Shortly after I bought it I found that the remote would not work unless I unplugged the unit and plugged it in again. I returned it to the store during the units one year warranty period. When I received it back from Tweeter, it was not repaired. I took it in again and once again it was not fixed. I took it in again and asked how long we would continue this process? I was told 1) since I could not show them the problem, it was probably in my head; 2) it is electronic and therefore like a computer, it just had to be "rebooted" every so often (Panasonic said this is not true); 3) the unit would not be replaced since their "lemon policy" only applies if it isn't repaired properly within the first year. Since the unit was now beyond its one year warranty period, it would not be replaced. However Tweeter's 90 day warranty still applied and so I could keep bringing it in for repairs until I got tired.
