I had trouble with  a company for breaking contract with me and was left with an awful mess. Treehouse Design came over and did the job without worry.  He even took me over to home depot to pick out the material.  He also returned over 500.00 since the material did not cost as much as we both expected.  He left my place clean and was a great person to do work with.

Scott was responsive and scheduled an estimate promptly.  Scott's estimate was thorough and included a detailed breakdown.  We chose to do only the rough-in since our budget only allowed for rough-in.  Scott was understanding and he was happy to be flexible to help us meet our budget and timeframe.
In choosing materials for the siding, doors, and roofing Scott was very good at recommending beautiful and durable materials while keeping within our budget.  For example, I originally wanted cedar shingles (I hate vinyl siding) but Scott knew they might be out of our budget so he recommended Hardie board shingles (which I hadn't heard of previously).  He was right on - they are beautiful and extremely durable and while more expensive than vinyl, they offer cost savings compared to cedar.
The Treehouse team chose a good weather week to remove the roof and once they did so they worked quickly - a new roof was on within three days.  The roof had an early test when we had a late snowfall at the end of the first week of work - it passed.  Scott also added some beautiful design flares that really stand out compared to similar shed dormer additions in the neighborhood - these include deeper soffits, low profile flashing along the roof line, and balcony railings with tighter picket spacing.  None of these were in the original plans - Scott added them because of the pride he has in every job he takes on.
The interior framing was done quickly and thoroughly.  I made some minor changes on the fly and Scott was receptive and reasonable.  Scott also did the rough-in electrical and plumbing work.  Scott was mindful of the first floor layout in installing the plumbing lines in order to minimize the disturbance to our existing plumbing and walls.
Scott finished the work on schedule - about 17 days total including Easter and Holy Week as well as a couple of days missed due to snow.  Overall a great job and a satisfied customer.

They did a really wonderful job. They helped me design the deck. The builders craftsmanship was outstanding. Scott Schuman, the president, was very helpful describing what type of woods I could use. His opinions on design types were great and we were able to put together a great design. They were very punctual and efficient. The whole process was made very easy for me due to their great professionalism, it went without a snag.

We have used this company several times over the past 10 years and will continue to do so for home improvement work.  If we were building a house from the ground up or doing renovations, we would go with Treehouse Design.  Strongly recommend this company.

I had some unusual renovation issues due to having an older home. Mr. Shuman was prompt, professional, and showed that he had a weath of knowledge and flexibility that allowed him to offer affordable solutions that addressed my needs. The carpentry and drywall work was impeccable while the entire installation was done efficiently and on schedule. Mr. Shuman took the time to work with me to find the right products and installation options. The work was done quickly and efficiently, yet the attention to detail is obvious. His crew was professional and considerate, and showed pride in their work. Having worked in a contracting business for over twenty years, I was definitely impressed by this company. Personal service is invaluable in this business, and combined with expertise and affordability makes this contractor one I will definitely use for future projects, as well as recommend to my neighbors.
