The mechanic failed my vehicle inspection for a windshield crack and problems with the struts. The crack had been in the windshield for 5 years. It had never been failed. It was not obscuring the driver's side. It was not full depth. When I asked, Tim, the desk guy what was wrong with the struts, he replied there was and quot;play in the wheeland quot;. I left at least 10 messages with the service manager trying to get a better understanding of what was going on. He never returned my calls. I tried to take the car to another mechanic and get a second opinion. The other mechanic didn't want to look at the car because of how inspections are now electronically reported. So, I went back to Smokey's with the fixed windshield (that had never failed before) and had them replace the struts (I should have gone to Toyota). They put after market struts on my car and didn't do an alignment. I called them, they had me come back. They aligned etc. But the car was still doing a lot of vibrating and shaking that it wasn't doing before. The service manager told me it would take a few months for the new struts to be broken in. By October, I was still experiencing a lot of vibration. I left another 10 messages for the service manager. He never returned my call. I placed a negative review on Yelp and then the owner called me. We talked. Then the service manager called me. Had me bring the car back in. And the service manager, I believe Mark, was his name told me that he was going to put Toyota struts on my car. Mark asked that I update Yelp. I did update with 3 stars from 1 for the effort. I said that I would update again once I knew for sure that the problem was fixed. Well, I didn't update Yelp until July of this year. And it went back down to 1 star. I never updated prior because I didn't feel the problem was fixed, but I was tired of dealing with these people. I've had vibration issues for a year now. I asked yet another mechanic to take a look at the struts. His reply was, and quot;well you have those after market struts on the carand quot;. OMG! I was livid. Smokey's Garage had not changed out the struts as promised with Toyota struts. This was the second time that they had just let my car sit on the lot all day. No wonder I didn't feel a difference in the way the car drove. They were inconsiderate of my time. I had to take public transportation to get to my appointments. They didn't fix my complaint. I called the garage last week to discuss. They tell me that their computers were upgraded and they lost all of last year's information. I think they are lying. These people are crooks. They are owned by Don Beyers. And apparently sometimes people from Smokey's work at Don Beyer and vice versa. They lied about needed repairs/ replacements. They were unresponsive unless I posted a negative comment. They didn't ultimately fix my problem. What a bunch of crooks and liars.

They are fabulous. The price was low and they did a really good job. They towed it there. They take great pride in their work. I can trust them.

Stepped on the brake and it went all the way to the floor. Called a tow company to take it to Smokey's Garage. Smokey's fixed it within days and my husband drove it home. My husband was impressed with the service and the price.

Excellent in terms of time and cost.

First visit I asked for an exhaust pipe (hanger rusted off) to be replaced and instead received an expensive gasket replacement. It's a fun looking, nostalgic garage. Clean and the office manager is friendly. I really wanted this place to work for me. Second time, I brought car in with list of repairs and I get a $120 bill diagnosing the problems I brought it in with...I decided they don't listen well and bill for it.

We had already installed a new battery and alternator at a different shop and our car was still cutting off and not starting. We took it to Smokey's because of their ratings and the shop was fairly close to our house. Smokey's Garage was thorough in checking the problem. Originally they stated I needed a new battery, however they checked out the new battery and it was not keeping a charge either. They did more checking and found the problem. They were honest and professional and stated that all I needed was a new battery terminal. I also had my cooling system checked and charged at Smokeys also. I really appreciated their honesty and helpfulness in explaining the problem. Great job, well done.

All work done satisfactorily and quickly. No subsequent problems.

I've become a loyal customer of Smokey's, and I'm fairly hard to impress. The price, quality of work, and customer service are always excellent.

Smokey's Garage is really a great place. There labor rate is clearly posted and the service is top notch. It has the feel of a local garage and not a dealership or large garage chain. They are very knowledgeable and have a passion for repairing and maintaining cars.
