Rosa Ayala Cleaning Service

I have been using Rosa for years.  I have found her to be professional and thorough in providing house cleaning services over the years.  She is conscientious and trustworthy.  She has the run of my house whether I am there or not.  Rosa is always flexible and responsive to my schedule and is willing to take on other tasks that may be needed from time to time.  I do a lot of traveling and I would be lost without Rosa.

She came to work with two other helpers. The three of them worked diligently on the unit for the better part of two hours. Thoroughly cleaned all of the unit, particularly the kitchen and bathroom. Made the bed. Washed the dishes, dusted and vacuumed the whole unit, scrubbed the bathtub and the kitchen and bathroom sinks, picked up and neatly arranged out-of-place items, and emptied the trash. The three were efficient, professional, polite and friendly.

Rosa and crew provide consistently excellent service. We found Rosa through Angie's list and have developed a terrific working partnership where we trust her and crew based on their reliable, professional service. Rosa ensures her team has the absolute highest quality expectations as she does and she checks the rooms which they are responsible for cleaning.
Rosa has never cancelled or been late- which is important as I work from home and have a limited window for noise given conference calls. On occasions where we have needed a schedule change (visitors etc), with notice, Rosa has been able to find an agreeable alternate date.
Example differences I've noted with Rosa and team that I haven't experienced with others: Proactively checking and changing vacuum bags to ensure maximum dirt collection; Proactively listing when supplies are running low so we can restock; Proactively suggesting new/better cleaning product for a new piece of furniture or if something is leaving residue not up to snuff.
Overall- through the duration of her working with us, and most important- I trust Rosa and team. She takes feedback very well when we've asked for extra attention to a particular room (or cleaning up all the sparkles post holidays).

Rosa has worked for me for about 18 years. She has always given honest, reliable, and excellent work and will do extra cleaning chores, given time available. She and her helpers (whom she works beside and supervises) will do work as needed not usually done by maid services, such as laundering bed and bath linens, cleaning inside window sills and sliding door tracks, and spot-cleaning carpets. She is a naturalized U.S. citizen, drives, and speaks very good English.

Our house was cleaned to our expectations. We requested fewer chemicals and she obliged.

I have used Rosa's services now for two years and trust her completely. Rosa will point things out that need attention . . . she found a small leak in a sliding glass door that would have gone unnoticed and caused more damage if not repaired. If I have a special request, she attends to it. I have found Rosa to be reliable and thorough. She needs no supervision, understands what to do and does it.

We hired Rosa to clean our townhouse once every two weeks. At the beginning of the process, her work was fine. It progressively got worse. Instead of moving things to their proper places, she would simply pile items up in one place. She had a habit of sloppily hanging expensive clothes in closets. She also failed to follow instructions - blatantly disregarding our specific direction to move clean clothes from the laundry area to dresser drawers in our bedroom. Rosa's lack of professionalism clearly showed when we decided to stop using her services. We called and politely left a message that we would not need her services anymore, and asked for our key back as soon as possible (she had it as well as an auxillary code word/password to our alarm system). It took Rosa three weeks and numerous phone calls to get our key back. We finally demanded our key this past Saturday. When we received our key (she left it in our mailbox when we were not home), the next day she left a nasty message chastising us for not calling her back to let her know that we received our key! She also said that our messages demanding our house key were "annoying" and "bugging her." I'm sorry - but having our house key in the hands of a former house employee was a major security breach - and three weeks to return it - with no explanation - is simply unacceptable. In fact, if Rosa were not to return our key that Saturday we were prepared to call the police and get a locksmith to change our locks. Our experience with Rosa was horrible. This is a recession, and I am positive there are other good housekeepers in Northern Virginia who are hungry for the work, will do good work, and follow direction. Save yourself lots of trouble and worry and look elsewhere!

This was our first time using Rosa's services, overall very good experience and we will continue to do business with her. She and colleague are very professional, know exactly what to do (as nit-picky as the owner would be), clear on what routinely will be done and what should be specified if additional or extra service needed (e.g. inside windows), very professional, flexible (I work from home), and excellent work. We will continue to use Rosa and highly recommend her.
