Rudy Romero delivered exactly what I wanted in a contractor: someone who worked on the job every day and who is skilled at all the requirements for measuring and installing cabinets that please the eye and function well. He's a fine finish carpenter who has his eye on all the details--even though I consider myself an educated consumer he was always one step ahead of me in determining what we needed to do the job perfectly. I was especially impressed with the small touches he added, like painting crown molding to match the painted cabinets and boxing in an unsightly hood vent inside a cabinet. He and his crew were punctual, good communicators and great at cleaning up every single day before they left. The subcontracting plumber and electrician did good and timely work thanks to Rudy's scheduling. I will certainly turn to him the next time I have a remodeling budget to spend.

Rudy Romero was a referral from our neighbor who had used him for their remodel work. I called Rudy, explained our project, which was to demo an existing brick fireplace face and heath and apply drywall where needed, and set-up a time for an estimate. He came by as scheduled and quoted the job on-site. We agreed on a price and set-up two working days for the following week. He showed up as scheduled with one assistant. They carefully covered our carpets and built a plastic enclosure around the working area to minimize the dust. They removed the bricks from the wall and the hearth. The way the bricks were laid, required them to remove some that where inside the fireplace area as well. Unfortunately, I needed those replaced for our new gas insert fireplace. Romero Contractor does not do masonry work but was able to proved me with a referral. After the masonry patched up the brick work, Romero Contractor returned to do the drywall work. It took two more days because he had to wait for the joint compound to dry before sanding.
