I originally gave Pimmit Hills Sunoco a less than favorable review. There was both a misunderstanding and the party responsible is no longer at the station. For the past year or so I now rate Pimmit Hills Sunoco 6 on a scale of 1 to 5.

An initial misunderstanding was rectified and I am extremely pleased with servicing, the personnel and the ownership of the station. I have no qualms about recommending the station for auto mechanical work, whole heartedly.

This was the second time I have had a headlamp assembly replaced here (old car, both headlights are now new) and in the first instance, the estimate/charge was less than quoted elsewhere and in both replacements, the work was done in a timely "uneventful" way (no surprises). Since changing hands several years ago, this station has become my "go-to" for mechanical repair and routine inspection.

I went in for an oil change and they identified $500 worth of work that needed to be done and I had no reason not to trust them. I picked up my car at the end of the day and 5 minutes later it wouldn't restart. It turns out they didn't reconnect the cable to the battery--oops. I had the car for 6 months with no problems before that moment. Obviously some sloppy work. On top of that, they wouldn't admit their mistake. They offered me a $15 coupon for the trouble. I won't be returning.

"[member name removed] vehicle was a 1992 high mileage model car which needed maintenance that required no reason to remove or disturb battery connections. Prior installation of a replacement battery (not performed here) with incorrect tightness of the cable ends was the cause of the situation he encountered. he fails to mention that my employee on sight, immediately corrected the problem for him at no additional cost. The vehicle initially started when he first entered the car to drive the vehicle to the gas pumps to buy gas, it was AFTER he finished pumping the gas is when he had problems. The condition of [member name removed] vehicle was typical of a vehicle of that age and not well maintained. This is not normally a vehicle of the demographic we service. We made several attempts to contact [member name removed] and received no response."

Straight up outstanding mechanic. They always do the job for the most reasonable price possible. They always get it right the first time.
My wife took her car in to get the water pump worked on. They noticed that the weatherstripping around the headlight was coming loose. They glued it back on and didn't charge or say a word about it. It is a small thing, but it is something that comes to mind.
Last week my wife had an oil leak. We did not know where it was. We took it to them and they found the leak, ordered the parts and did not charge us for extra parts or labor. They went above and beyond.

We have been going to them for eight years. They are the only company that services my car. They are honest and trustworthy. They are easy to get into and they have the car done when they say it is going to be done, for the most part.
