Paul’s Best focuses on lawn rehabilitations and ongoing routine maintenance. We are thorough in all aspects of the work we do. We stand behind all the work that we do, and the work speaks for itself. There are a lot of providers who claim to do the same work so it's easy to to lump us in with those other companies. Unfortunately, it's hard to compare apples to apples in this industry and there is only one Paul's Best. Paul’s Best Lawn Service, Inc. is a locally based, 2nd generation family-owned full service grounds maintenance company started by Paolo (Paul) Lo Monaco in 1978 and now owned and operated by his son's Jay and Tim Lo Monaco. At Paul’s Best Lawn Service, we listen carefully our clients to fully understand their individual needs. After 35 years, we’ve learned a lot about which lawn service practices work and which ones don’t when it comes to maintaining one of your most valuable assets. A 3 man team cleared weeds and leaves, edged the lawns and garden paths, and applied mulch. They left our property looking great and ready for winter.

We used them for years but they jumped significantly in price. They said it was due to a lawn disease prevention program.

Overall, they did a good job ... their crews vary a lot so it depends on who you get. Last season's crew was excellent - and this season's crew was average. They do good work at a very competitive price for seasonal clean ups and mulching and would recommend.

They are very nice. They clean out the yard and blow the leaves off the deck. I have not had a problem with them. They are very reliable. They are always on time. They do what they say they are going to do.

Spoke with the company about mowing my yard on a weekly basis, and signed a contract relatively quickly. I asked about matching a competitor's price that came in 20% lower, and they said no (which was fine -- that's their right). They came and mowed the yard for the first time, but scalped the grass in places. They also charged me for bagging the grass, but didn't do it. I e-mailed them about the damage to my lawn (and provided pictures), and to my surprise, they terminated my contract immediately without offering to fix the dirt patches. I've never written a bad review on Angie's List, but i would definitely not recommend them. Found them to be downright hostile and aggressive. Glad that I didn't go with the replenishment service (was planning on signing that contract this week)!

We have a large lawn and wanted an environmentally friendly lawn service to improve it. We had previously done some remodeling and the yard was in bad shape afterwards.
Up front, they told us it would take about two years on the environmental program to get the lawn looking decent. That turned out to be a good estimate. Our lawn looks good. If we noticed a problem area or felt they had timed their seeding or aerating wrong, we called them and they would come back out and generally go the extra step to get the lawn looking good.
They are a small local business which is also something we wanted to support. The downside is that it can be hard to find someone in the office and you also never know ahead of time when they are coming that month to perform whatever service is due that month. But they return your call and answer your email within a day or two.
We also had them clean the gutters of our house, and they did a good job with a price equivalent to competitors.

Our yard was quite overgrown with out-of-control English Ivy and Virginia Creeper, many saplings and overgrown wild roses.
We requested a free estimate and received a response from David the same day. He explained that it was their busiest season and that they could come out to give us an estimate, but would not be able to schedule the work until late July or early August. That was perfectly fine with us and we appreciated their being upfront about the time frame.
We scheduled the work and they arrived on time. The two gentlemen who did the work were professional, polite, asked questions and offered suggestions. There ended up being more debris to haul away than they had estimated; but even with that the total cost was $40 less that the estimate.
We have received many compliments about the yard and the work that was done, from neighbors and others just passing by the house. We will definitely be using Paul's Best in the future.

I've been using them for years. I have a contract with them every year. They do every single thing you could do to a lawn. Plus, if I need them to do some trimming, that's extra. Usually, I pay upfront. If you pay upfront, you get a discount. It's not a large discount, but it makes a difference. We have a very time consuming yard. I pay them a little over $5,500 for the entire year. You don't have to pay them for a whole year. You can divide it up 12 months. They come every week. They did a special job for me in June because all our trees were overgrown and they just came and trimmed everything. They were here all day. They were here from morning till 6 o'clock. I think they might have come the next day to just finish up a little. They're so great. They come right away. If I have a special job, they always respond and they do it. This time I had to call them because they didn't charge me for the trimming. I think they overlooked it. So, I called them and then they realized it. I thought the trimming of everything was very reasonable.
