Newlay Paving & Masonry

Newlay Paving and Masonry had been working several jobs in our neighborhood and stopped by to offer their services for overlaying our asphalt driveway. My husband and I checked out some of the driveways they'd recently done and liked what we saw. One of our nearby neighbors was also interested, so we asked them to come back for a formal estimate and to see if they could give us a discount since Newlay could perform the work on both driveways on the same day. Charlie Flynn, one of the co-owners of this family-based company, came to our house to give us the estimate. He was prompt, courteous and professional. He walked the driveway with us and outlined what he proposed to do. We agreed with his proposal, as did our neighbor, and we settled on what we all felt was a fair price (with a discount for doing both driveways the same day.) Even before the discount, the price was already $500 less than an estimate we'd received a few weeks ago from another company. The work was performed two days later. The morning of the job, they arrived on time and immediately set to work. This is a punctual, hard-working group. The whole process seemed very well-organized. Charlie and his co-owner Alex worked alongside the rest of their team and completed the project in an efficient and timely manner. After they were done, they tidied up after themselves and left the area spotless. The driveway looks terrific! We are very pleased with the results and highly recommend their services. We plan to contact them in the fall to discuss potential repairs to our brick porch and sidewalk.
