KENNEDY HOME IMPROVEMENT

I was told at first the cabinets would take 3-4 weeks to come in, then I was told 5-7 weeks and lastly was told it took 8 weeks to get the cabinets. The cabinet place later told me it took 2 weeks, from February 4 to February 20 to get the cabinets. Kennedy removed my old cabinets on March 27, when he told me the cabinets were finally in. I was left with no water in my kitchen. In the beginning of May my appliances were delivered and I lost the use of my stove. In the middle of May all of my cabinets but one were installed. The wrong size had been ordered for one of them and it had to be altered. At this point I found out Kennedy was not licensed. My lawyer wrote him a letter informing him that he had to get his license and mailed it to the address that the Virginia licensing agency had for him. It came back addressee unknown. After the last cabinet was installed I handed Kennedy the letter. That was over a month ago and I have not heard from him since. He kept asking me for more money to pay his people even though the contract stated one price up front and the rest when finished. He was most unprofessional, hanging up on me when he did not like what I had to say. He also underestimated the amount of floor tiles I needed. Everything he said and did seemed to be wrong. He would go for numerous days never showing up and when he did show up he would stay for 30 minutes or less. He told my friend that he low-balled my estimate since he needed money and since I signed the contract he has gotten other jobs and put me on the back burner. I also paid him to paint my rather large living room ceiling but this was never done and now I am out the money since I have not heard from him and he will not call me back. Needless to say, I sent him a letter stating the our contract was null and void, it came back addressee unknown. DO NOT use this company. It was a horrible experience.
