First of all, John Jefferson was way, way overpriced. He charged at least double what another contractor have charged. Second, his work proceeded at a snail's pace. He said he would make my job a priority, but in reality he didn't. He took on other work and did other jobs at the same time. He had only one worker to help him, and he was only there a few days. It took John Jefferson a month and a half longer than it should have. Third, his work was shoddy and unprofessional. The bathroom sink and vanity he chose was undersized (too small) and the window looked like crap when he finished. The grouting was poorly done with a lot of gaps. In short, despite the expensive price, his work required a lot of remedial work to make it look decent. As if all this we're not bad enough, during his construction work, John Jefferson left the old toilet and other construction debris outside - NOT in a bin nor in a trailer as he should have placed - rather in the driveway in the front yard! He left it there for such a long time that a neighbor complained to Fairfax County. Residents and their contractors simply don't leave old toilets and other trash in the front yard or driveway of neighborhoods like this one. Fairfax County cited me for a violation. When I confronted John Jefferson about this, he lied and said the toilet and construction debris was only there for 24 hours. This is absurd because the neighbor who complained did so because it had been there for several days. Then, it took a few days for a county inspector to come to the property. In addition to being overpriced, unprofessional, and shoddy, John Jefferson is a dishonest construction contractor. Don't ever use him!
